Full Moon Thursday!!! 8 Richters Still Out There!!!!!

Monday will be Day 21 after the landfall at Madagascar of Cyclone Giovanna and the full moon will be on Thursday March 8, 2012 with quite a lot of major earthquake energy still out there somewhere that just might be unaccounted for! While this line of earthquake energy intersects Central America and Tonga. . . it still brushes close enough to Southern Mexico and is so big of energy that I don't need to remind anybody that Southern California is just nearby. While L.A. and S.F. are kind of long shots to get this major earthquake, keep in mind that I did file an Official Prediction with both CEPEC, and NEPEC and so that slight chance for us to get this earthquake should probably include Richmond, DC, NY, Illinois, Ok, and basically everybody should be watching out ESPECIALLY the night of the full moon! Dangerous Earthquake Any Moment Now. . . . .

Currently getting many, many earthquakes ahead of this next Major Dangerous Shaker that looks to be due practically any moment, now!!! Just seen on the NEIC Latest Earthquakes where Nice, France just had a 4.7 Richters earthquake in the last few hours and I have to report that California is getting a lot of what MIGHT be foreshocks of this upcoming shaker as big as 8 Richters! Oscars Tonight in Downtown Hollywood and so I'll ask God to watch over all of my friends on Hollywood Blvd. tonight! EQ Guy

OFFICIAL PREDICTION BY LETTER TO CEPEC, NEPEC, FEBRUARY 16, 2012:

Cyclone Giovanna made landfall directly at the center of Madagascar heading just south of Due West on February 13, 2012. This could cause some immediate movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate and a major earthquake as big as the 8 Richters Range at Tonga, and The Philippines in the coming days and weeks, with Japan, and Jakarta nearby. Alaska has also had a major earthquake which followed a similar landfall and the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 was preceded by another Cyclone that made landfall at Australia, however Cyclone Giovanna did not strike the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate directly so I do not expect those results to duplicate.

For the record the straight line from this new earthquake energy travels directly to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and Mexico City and since it was such a huge windstorm with winds of 143 mph and Gusts of 155 mph, I will expect this upcoming Major Earthquake to go as high as 7.9 Richters with the range from 7.6 to 8.1 Richters Magnitude. Los Angeles, San Francisco, and California are just to the north of this straight line and so today I must submit this formal Official Prediction by letter for just a SLIGHT chance that California might be struck by a 7.6 to 8.1 Richters Magnitude earthquake before March 17, 2012. The full moon will be March 8 and this will be Day 23 after Giovanna, and while there have been several good earthquake predictions correlating with the full moon recently, it will not necessarily correlate with this upcoming Great Earthquake.

My work with earthquakes over the years is very accurate and I know you all now beleive and will be watching for this huge disaster. I also know from experience this new major earthquake WILL STRIKE exactly as I have just stated. Due to it being rather long odds California will get this, I will not include any exhibits with indepth explanations. Note that my Curriculum Vitae has one or two updates, but none worthy of attaching it today. Just saw 4.4 Richters Northern California tonight after watching Grammys and also 5 Richters Mozambique! There is a Huge Cyclone Giavanna making landfall at Madagascar and this new movement out around the Mid-Atlantic will next mean new Earthquake Energy along the coast of South or Central America, however it could release energy around RICHMOND, VIRGINIA and I want to just say right now prior to the landfall of that huge possible Cat 3 windstorm that shakers on our East Coast could be the biggest. Let's say 5.5 on that without yet viewing the amount of wind damage to come at Madagascar. . . but sure knowing Mozambique is ALREADY SHAKING and so we should probably expect to shake, too!!!!! Just a quick note that tomorrow night, Tuesday February 7, 2012 will be the night of the full moon and there has been somewhat of a streak of recent earthquakes striking on exactly that night! There is presently also a good amount of earthquake energy out there that could happen the night of the February full moon 2012. I recently also heard Anchorage, Alaska has 27 feet of snow which I assume adds a lot more extra weight on the tectonic plate but I'm not sure if the additional earthquake energy from all that means Vancouver, Canada, Juneau, or West Coast, or just Alaska? Just that it makes it more possible that we should watch for earthquake energy and especially the Cascade Region, Mt. St. Helens, Coos Bay, Eureka, Frisco, and etc. and this note mostly applies for the full moon and the days before and after.

McHenry, Illinois Earthquake of January 31, 2012

I got up that morning to the news that an earthquake has just struck nearby. It only took a moment to find Illinois on the list of recent earthquakes and immediately found the names of a lot of my local towns at the top of the list of responses. When I saw the time I remembered clicking the program guide on the tv just moments after the end of that nights Milwaukee Bucks game and the time said 9:54pm which NOW became the time a 2.4 Magnitude earthquake struck my neighbors practically in downtown McHenry, Illinois one of my local towns I go to Bank of America where I still have an account from my days of working in California you know. There was one lady at my bank who reported having felt the earthquake but the really big news there was my "Personal Banker" friend who recalled me just having said late last year that it has been nearly 2 years since the Northern Illinois area had an earthquake of the type they occasionally get. He was QUICK to point out that I had just said only weeks ago that I thought one was due to strike Northern Illinois in early 2012 and was truely impressed!!! Then there was a lady on the other side of town near the epicenter who told me it felt like a freight train was running under her house and it shook the whole house! Another lady told me her cats ears peaked up first, then she heard thunder, THEN she felt the actual earthquake! Yes, she heard a loud thunder FIRST, because I clearly asked to make sure I had this correct! She lives in the nearby town of Wonder Lake which is a few miles west of McHenry but obviously far enough that the sound traveled to Wonder Lake ahead of the movement of the ground. Finally there was the lady at one of the local resturants very near the epicenter who reported plates and glasses falling on the floor and off the walls at her house, but reported nothing having broken! This 2.4 Richters Magnitude earthquake was reported felt as far north as Sheboygan, Wisconsin. . . as far south as Normal, Illinois, as far as Ypsalinti, Michigan, and Rock Island, Illinois. It is the third major little earthquake this Northern Illinois region has gotten in the past few years and if the line continues north (like continuing along the Fox River) in the direction it is heading. . . could hit Racine, Kenosha, or Milwaukee up in Wisconsin next, or in about another two years!!! Thank-You for your interest in my recent "Full Moon Alert," and today I want to introduce what I like to call an "EQ Alert Update." Alerts vary from "Official Predictions" mostly due to the fact that I write them with the purpose of alerting folks that are in the path of earthquake energy heading for them, more so than I am "Predicting" an earthquake will occur, which of course I am forced to do in the course of filing an "Official Prediction."

My January Full Moon alert was only 9 days after the landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Thane @

and I want to note today that we normally have to allow more in the range of 30 or 40 days for earthquake energy to reach our West Coast from that area. So, while the full moon alert was surely warranted, since something could have shook California that day, and night, I probably should have or might have mentioned that the alert for this earthquake will continue through January and possibly into February if it hasn't shook by then.

This still upcoming major earthquake energy will produce our next major earthquake, however due to it being plate tectonics and not straight line energy, I am not proficient at tracking this type of energy and do not have an accurate guess for where the earthquake energy will strike as I often do on some of my better ones! This has a lot to do with the movement of the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate being involved, too!

Another big one that affected the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate was the landfall of Typhoon Nanmadol at the Philippines on December 4, 2004 resulting in a major earthquake at Sumatra, Indonesia on December 26, 2004. Finally, I want to introduce as an exhibit today one of my best recent EQ Blog entries that I posted in the days before last years Christchurch, New Zealand earthquake @ http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-eq-alert-kiribati-christchurch.html You can even see Christchurch in the link! I had also written a number of other EQ Blog entries prior to the Great Japan Earthquake of 2011 and want to note that both of those earthquakes were the result of the same tectonic plate movement and the result of the landfall of Cyclone Yasi with winds reported as high as 340 Kilometers Per Hour.

Today we are only talking about a much smaller earthquake and only a slight chance that any of this earthquake energy will strike California, West Coast, or elsewhere in the National. As a rule I will always notify both Councils anytime there is any earthquake energy heading for either California or elsewhere in the U.S. and this is by far not one of my better ones as that October 12, 2011 full moon one was! This major earthquake will most likely strike somewhere such as Central America, or South America, but since there is that chance of it striking us, I hope you all won't mind me submitting todays earthquake writing.

With regard to the two major earthquakes which just so happened to hit on that January 9, 2012 full moon, 6.6 Santa Cruz Islands at 4:07 UTC and 38 Hours, 29 Minutes later the 7.2 Banda Aceh, Sumatra shaker, it is my opinion that these are the tectonic plate moving and that we should follow this earthquake energy until February 15 or until a Major Earthquake strikes before that date releasing this earthquake energy. This earthquake could be 7.7 or 7.9 Richters when it does eventually shake! As of this writing those earthquakes which are convincingly in conjunction with the January 2012 full moon are the only two major earthquakes to strike recently! Also as of this writing my October 12, 2011 5.9 Coos Bay, Oregon earthquake stands as the only earthquake to strike California.

I’m very glad I actually got the chance to meet you in person right there at the USGS Offices in Menlo Park back in October 2011. I want to tell you what a great place the Menlo Park facility is and how great that entire trip turned out being. . . especially meeting you and touring the USGS, there!

I want to note that the copy of my “Official Prediction” that I hand-delivered that day did not have an attachment to reflect the fact that I discovered the full moon would be October 12, 2011 greatly increasing the chance of October 12, 2011 becoming the date such an earthquake would strike. Name Edited Out, I am well aware that the full moon was part of our discussion and am not concerned it’ll be overlooked by no means. Just thought I’d amend the hand-delivered original version with that statement. The full moon was certainly discussed in entries to my EQ Blog written in the days after that O. P. was written. Additionally, I traveled out there to make it even MORE Official.

To this day, that 5.9 Richters earthquake that struck near Coos Bay, Oregon at 8:15pm that night is still by far the biggest earthquake to strike California in a long, long time and speaks for itself as far as my prediction/quake chase being on target. I suppose the fact that it was later downgraded to 5.3, which is still the biggest, and that Coos Bay, Oregon is not California might take something away from it, but the earthquake folks generally include such earthquakes as well within the California Earthquake Scenario, as well as ones to the south in Baja California. So, while technically Coos Bay is NEPEC, I think it’s agreed the Triple Plate Junction is a part of California as well. Never mind those two 4 Richters shakers that struck practically underneath the UC Berkeley Campus just a couple days later!

I am writing to you today because there has been a lot of smallish earthquake energy around the Southern California area and the full moon will be on Monday Night, January 9, 2012. There was also a “Very Severe” (a classification for cyclones) Tropical Cyclone that made landfall in the Bay of Bengals at India, with winds in the 100 Miles Per Hour range. I figure those huge wind speeds into my “EQ Alert Theory” as having some effect on the tectonic plate boundaries when the actual landfall contacts land. It was 21 days after the landfall at Japan of Typhoon Roke that the October 2011 Coos Bay earthquake struck as my prediction stated. In this case I just want to say that the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate may contact the Pacific Tectonic Plate resulting in at least some earthquake energy affecting Southern California, but by no means with the same exact straight-line assurity as was the case in October.

Therefore this is not another “Great” prediction for an earthquake that is imminent such as was the case on October 12, 2011 when the earthquake struck at the California-Oregon Triple Plate Junction. This earthquake energy could be running along the West Coast of Southern California, Mexico, or Central America and I thought I might just write to let you know due to California getting some smallish foreshocks and being along that line.

Looks like a good chance this earthquake will strike the day or night of the full moon, Monday January 9, 2012 and as a result, I want to forward this short note to CEPEC. Although there is a chance it could affect Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, or Richmond, I’m thinking off along Central America and don’t want to bother NEPEC with this tiny alert, but I may carbon copy Michael Blanpied just the same and I know you don’t mind.

Be watching for what happens the night of the full moon, Monday Night, January 9, 2012 and see for yourself if this major earthquake energy doesn’t let loose somewhere!!! Chile? Lima? Nicaragua? Or will it be one or two days after the full moon such as those two now Great Christchurch, New Zealand earthquakes struck!

Full Moon Monday Night!!!!! Is Southern California Going To SHAKE!!!!!

Just checked latest earthquakes and notice Joshua Tree, and few miles south of Santa Barbara! Time to issue EQ Alert for Southern California Full Moon Monday Night!!! There is still one Major Earthquake out there due to a Major Severe Tropical Cyclone that made landfall around India and a chance that could move Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate causing Pacific Plate movement. . . and small chance West Coast could catch some of the resultant earthquake energy from all of those tectonic plates moving and the night of the full moon, as always, greatly increasing the danger of a Major Shaker!!! Almost a sure thing at this point that there will be an earthquake associated with this months full moon! Be watching, and be prepared!!! EQ Guy

New EQ Alert: Ethiopia, Lima, Philippines, Micronesia? 7 or 8 Richters!

Earthquake energy from huge "Very Severe Tropical Cyclone Thane" that just made landfall around India and the Bay of Bengals had windspeeds reported at around 100 mph with gusts of 120 although I roughly translated those numbers from like 140 Kilometers Per Hour. It doesn't look like much of this earthquake energy will approach California or North America, but will be putting some pressure on our West Coast, so I suppose Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and etc. might be aware that Baja California is already starting to shake! Maybe as high as 5.9 for those folks. Actual line of energy goes directly through Ethiopia, Angola, Lima, Philippines, Micronesia, and Kiribati. Also usually affects Christchurch and New Zealand when crossing that region but this energy is NOT actually in the CH/NZ neighborhood so it isn't quite as likely they will get anything here. Finally of course this new alert will run through January 2012 and into Mid-February and will for sure mean a Major Earthquake in the range of 7 to 8.1 Richters Magnitude and out there in the middle of all that water might just be one of those that results in a tsunami, but be aware this is not a similarly huge alert to ones such as last years Cyclone Yasi with 340 Kmh winds. . . this one is barely half that, so I suppose you may still say Japan Aftershock just in case. New Earthquake Energy!!!!! Headed for California? Richmond, VA? S.Illinois?

There was a report today of 66mph winds at Dodge City, Kansas along with other previous reports of 20 inches of snow at one place and 8 Foot drifts, too! Also 10 to 12 inches of snow around Springfield/Pueblo, Colorado. This is the sort of conditions that preceded earthquakes such as the Northridge, California Earthquake except I have to add that in general the severe winter conditions that preceed Major Earthquakes is quite a bit more severe than the name of one town in the middle of Colorado and more than one 8 foot drift of snow somewhere out in the middle of Nebraska. By severe winter conditions I usually find two feet of snow covering our entire country and in the case of Northridge there were also sub-zero temperatures. Short of all of those things combined I have to expect somewhat less of an earthquake than Northridge, Great Alaska, Paso Robles, and let's add Eureka 2010 to that list as well. In the case of Eureka the severe winter is still fresh in my memory and Pueblo, Colorado this week. . . is no match for that winter! So here we have yet another smallish earthquake prediction that I want to note, I normally would just leave this alone and watch another 5 or 5.9 Richters earthquake come and go probably unnoticed. This is not really enough new earthquake energy to have much of an effect on California, but it would be very noticable in Oklahoma, Illinois, or Richmond and so I thought I should write. Today marks the conclusion of my recent Official Prediction filed in case the energy from the Santa Ana Winds struck California or the U.S., and ran out the night of the full moon when a 5.9 struck near Mexico City! New Official Prediction: Richmond, Illinois, Oklahoma! 6.0 Richters? Before Dec. 21, 2011

Subject: New Official Prediction for L. A, OK, and VA at 6.0 by Dec. 21, 2011

Hello,
On the evening of November 30, 2011 and early morning hours of December 1, 2011 the Southern California region was hit by severe Santa Ana Winds with maximum wind speeds reported as high as 140mph. When I worked in construction in Los Angeles I observed the Santa Ana winds to have caused smaller earthquakes in the 4 to 5 Richters range, but do not recall any winds ever being reported this high. Therefore I can not say exactly how big of an earthquake this series of high winds might go. Had this been a hurricane or typhoon, I would consider 140mph to be a huge windstorm and therefore I am submitting this Official Prediction to CEPEC, and NEPEC today.

The general direction of these winds was reported as West, however having seen these winds myself I seem to think it was most likely coming down from the mountains in a Southwest to West Southwest direction and as a result it occurred to me that it could send some of this new earthquake energy towards Richmond, Virginia, Illinois and Indiana, or Oklahoma. Note that this actual direction points more toward New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, but naturally earthquake energy takes much longer to reach those regions and it could be January before those regions would shake from this new earthquake energy. Hawaii may also be roughly along this line and might be struck sooner. My sheet also mentions the Azores and Iceland, however both of those are well beyond your jurisdiction, but note that I have had accurate predictions on that Iceland Volcano in the past.

Finally, I had been mentioning Long Beach, Malibu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Yellowstone in earlier writings concerning this new earthquake energy, but as the days pass those spots that are more near the actual wind damage seem ever less likely to become the epicenter of this upcoming Major Earthquake due to the energy tending to travel both by P-Wave, and S-Wave and eventually shaking somewhere along a straight line.

This Official Prediction is specifically for Richmond, Virginia, Illinois, and Oklahoma, at 5.3 to 6.3 Richters Magnitude guessing exactly 6.0 Richters, before December 21, 2011, and possibly still for Southern California like Long Beach or Malibu. Note that if the earthquake hasn’t struck California by December 14, I will be less worried about them, but watch through December 21, 2011 just the same anyways.

Note that since you are both new Intake Folks for the Councils, I want to add that this is by far not one of the better earthquakes to predict and my percent of confidence on this prediction might be around fifty-five percent. . . hardly the Ninety-Eight Percent on that last one when I actually flew out to Frisco, you know!!! Plus, I’ve never heard of such winds as Pasadena reported and guesses such as this one is how I eventually learn to be very accurate! I will be basically just waiting, like you, to see where this one strikes, but know that much wind WILL produce an earthquake that will do about the same amount of damage as the winds originally did in Southern California. And this earthquake WILL STRIKE!!!

I attended school in my hometown in Wisconsin, and went on to receive my General Education Diploma from Blackhawk Tech in October 1981, later attending NAME OF SCHOOL EDITED OUT, in Chicago where I received a diploma from their Commercials One and Two course in early 1989. Throughout the 1990’s I worked as a Background Actor in Chicago Film Production acclimating to Feature Roles and Bit Parts and joining the American Federation of Television and Radio Actors or AFTRA, as well as going on to begin an Apprenticeship with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in 1996 and heading to Los Angeles in 1999 when work ran out in Wisconsin. There I moved my AFTRA card and worked for Central Casting at the studios out there as well as moved my apprenticeship to work with the Southern California Millwrights local #1607 on a number of jobs out there having also worked on a lot of movies and television productions during this time as well. I was also in one or two pretty big earthquakes including the Hector Mines earthquake. In January of 2003, I moved my carpenters union card back to Milwaukee by taking and passing their Journeymans Test and thereby completing my apprenticeship, albeit without going the graduation route. Next, I began studying earthquakes by reading books from the local libraries including the Geology Library at UW-Madison. This led to me polishing my knowledge of earthquakes that began the day of the Northridge Quake when I immediately researched the things that happened in the days leading up to that huge earthquake. My studies went right into my first book originally completed around December 2003 at the time of the Paso Robles, and Bam Iran earthquakes. I updated this in early 2005 after I had a particularly good alert out prior to the Great Sumatra Earthquake of December 2004. This new version of my first book “How To Predict Earthquakes” was represented by a literary agent but did not find a publisher. Nor did a “Compact Edition” that I shopped to publishers myself through 2007. As of 2010, I have now completed my latest earthquake book “My Earthquake Memoirs” and am currently in the process of adding Chapter 14 to include my recent “Quake Chase” to San Francisco and hope to soon be submitting to publishers on that new project. In August 2008 I was hired by Per-Mar Security in Madison, Wisconsin as an Event Security person for Wisconsin Badgers Football, Basketball, Hockey, Track Meets, and etc. and am currently still employed by them no longer having the Badger Athletic contract and with Event Security for Black Friday being my most recent job. I also worked the Kid Rock, Maroon 5, Lady Antebellum Concert at Lambeau Field in Green Bay recently, too! There has also been a streak of Film Production in Chicago and so I have been doing a lot of acting in movies and TV Shows shooting in Chicago in recent years, primarily working for Atmosphere Casting Chicago, Jon Kinnas. I hope to move up the ladder in the Security Business with my sights set on the much higher paying security jobs at Nuclear Plants possibly being somewhere out there in my future and full-well knowing my acting, and some script writing will pay off for me some day as well. High Winds in Southern California Usually Cause Small Earthquakes!!! New Alert!!!

The wind speeds from Southern California are coming in and they are as high as 100 mph and more with the highest wind reported around 140mph! As a general rule these "Santa Ana Winds" have ALWAYS been responsible for at least some smaller earthquakes happening, mostly in the Southern California area, but these now somewhat higher winds could possibly be responsible for somewhat larger earthquakes. I do not expect that much larger of an earthquake, but I do normally begin tracking earthquake energy at around 100mph winds and so there is most likely now earthquake energy heading for Los Angeles, but lets keep this alert at or below 6 Richters Magnitude with about 6.3 being as high as I would ever expect it to go. I want to take this opportunity to say the exact epicenter of this earthquake, that might be only a few days away, could be Long Beach, Palos Verdes, or Malibu since I do not have the exact wind direction, only having heard they were blowing west, and so those are the Western most points and I am not sure if the earthquake energy will travel up towards Santa Barbara, or Lompoc. New Discovery Proves Old "Full Moon Theory" Wrong!!!!!

Yes, it's the scientific discovery of 2011 folks! Like someone over on my EQ Guy Facebook Page stated prior to my recent trip to Oklahoma. . . "At least you won't have to worry about tsunamis down there!" Well, now I submit it to you all as a FACT, that Oklahoma IS NOT anywhere too near a major ocean and not only do they not have to worry about a tsunami in the forseeable future, but it now also seems possible that their faultlines ARE NOT affected by any such thing as HIGH TIDES either!!! Full Moon relationship with Major Earthquakes occuring on the exact night of the full moon or the night before/after the full moon is NOT the direct effect of the pull of the moon, or the bright light of the full moon, or the allignment! NO, not at all. . . or perhaps only ever so slight! This discovery comes as a result of 1) What that smart commenter on my EQ Facebook Page posted, and 2) The fact that it now DOES NOT EVEN SEEM POSSIBLE that the pull of the full moon could have any effect in-and-of-itself on OKLAHOMA! NO, rather, as is certainly the case in Christchurch, New Zealand, it is the sole work of the HIGH TIDE, having no regard for when and if there is a Full Moon OR NOT. Of course, naturally, it IS probably the highest of tides that accompany the Full Moon. . . I just want to say here and now for the record that it now looks like the Full Moon may not directly be as big a player in the Full Moon Earthquake Correlation as had been previously thought! While this will leave us still watching carefully for critical full moon's, we should watch even closer for just your basic HIGH TIDES, and especially all the biggest of high tides possibly not even always being associated with Full Moons? Lots of Ground Movement and Rumbling Under Foot!!! Welcome To Oklahoma!!!

Hello Everybody! Arrived in Oklahoma City yesterday around 8:30am, drove like 850 Miles in about 14 Hours quickly enjoying The Arch, and Busch Stadium in St. Louis on my way through there around 1:00am! Ground sure does move a lot here in Oklahoma! Had one 3 Richters Shaker just before I arrived at about the time I would have been filling up with gas at Joplin, MO. Basically spent the whole day yesterday exploring all the key places in the recent Series of Oklahoma Earthquakes. At one point in the day yesterday the ground actually RUMBLED under foot for almost an hour, and a check of earthquakes showed that Sonora, Mexico had an earthquake that struck right at the end of that rumbling sequence and it was actually also the point that rumbling stopped! Then, a few more movements of the ground throughout the day, but me being so used to Los Angeles, and San Francisco, I make a note of those and move on, you know! Add Oklahoma to that list of "Shaky Places." Well, this Quake Chaser / EQ Guy is hanging around a while yet and sort of wants to be in one of those!? Full Moon Shaker Tonight??? November 10 will be the night of the next Full Moon and it occured to me we are still watching for TWO Major Earthquakes that do not seem to have struck yet!!! Just seen a huge shaker at the Antarctic/Pacific Tectonic Plate Boundary indicating this earthquake energy is probably heading north and so I will be watching Santiago, Chile, and Costa Rica/Panama/Guatemala in the coming days and especially for something huge to shake with that Full Moon, although I have not heard if it will be like a "SuperMoon" or not. Major Alerts For A Few Days, Yet!!! West Coast, Central and South America!!!

I have in front of me several pages of brand new calculations mostly concerning the two major typhoons that struck Manila, Philippines earlier in October 2011. They are Nesat and Nalgae with wind speeds of 121 and 87 mph, both heading westerly. According to Wikipedia, Typhoon Nesat had waves as tall as Palm Trees and 4 people were killed when a wall collapsed. Nesat struck on a Tuesday and was followed by Nalgae making landfall on Saturday and I recall pictures of people still being trapped on roofs following Nesat, when Nalgae struck! On October 13, 2011 there was a sort of unusual shaker at the corner of the Indio/Aust. Tectonic Plate near Bali and just south of Jakarta, Indonesia. This looks to me like the tectonic plate might be moving towards the Pacific and North, Central, and South Americas! Infact there have been one or two significant shakers out there in the Pacific Islands in recent days, so we should watch for earthquake energy in the range of 7.5 to 7.9 Richters along our West Coast through November 10, or 20, 2011. Note that in addition to all the other earthquake stuff currently happening in Turkey, and San Francisco, these two earthquake energies have YET TO STRIKE!!! Extend EQ Alert: Northern California!!! Lot of Activity!!!

I spent some time pondering this today and came up with the fact that due to a lot of earthquake energy striking late this week around San Francisco, we should probably extend the recent EQ Alert / Official Prediction for a few additional days. Therefore I am extending it until about Wednesday, October 26, 2011 and we should continue to watch for a Major Earthquake as large as 7.6 but keep in mind that until the sum total of all of this earthquake energy strikes somewhere such as Caracus, Venezuala or somewhere along that line such as Texas or Oklahoma, until then let's continue to be watching Northern California for a few more days yet. While there are one or two other alerts for other parts of the world, they will not be connected to this straight line of earthquake energy that is presently striking places such as Sante Fe, New Mexico, and San Antonio, Texas. . . just waiting to strike Central or South America, but still very likely to strike California with it's full force yet. 2 Hours Before The Full Moon!!!!! Coos Bay, Oregon 5.9 Richters!!!

Wasn't too bad of a Quake Chase!!!!! Just happened to be inside of a store when my phone rang telling me Coos Bay, Oregon just got struck with a 5.9 Richters Shaker at about the same moment that the building started to move from side to side practically throwing me against the wall and into the display there in the aisle where I was standing right at that moment, or trying to stand-up anyways! That earthquake has since been downgraded numericaly, but still easily ranks as by far the biggest earthquake that I've ever been in! This earthquake easily swayed us back and forth for several seconds as much as like close to 10 or 20 feet it seemed like as well as it seemed like some up and down change in elevation movement as well, and reminded me of what I often hear said when people describe earthquakes. . . that it felt very much like rocking in a boat!

Note that this probably marks the end of the alert for California, but there are three other major alerts floating around yet, including Krgystan and possibly Nepal just added this morning for like another 7 Richters. While some of the energy from those two typhoons at Manila could still find their way to our West Coast, it seems more likely they will affect China, Japan, Indonesia, etc. Just Sayin'! I will be flying out in the morning for San Francisco!!! Leaving Chicago at 7:30am, and arriving at 9:55am Tuesday Morning and notice they have been getting a few notable shakers in the recent couple days and hours including Vallejo, San Jose, and Lompoc. Of Course the purpose for my visit is because there is Major Earthquake Energy heading towards the Triple Plate Junction further north near Eureka, but one of my good friends in the EQ Biz mentioned that Earthquake Prediction, being what it is today, "Les, do not drive up to where that epicenter is supposed to be because a 7.6 Richters Earthquake is VERY BIG and thousands of people could die in it." As a result of that info I decided I will be staying in Colma and riding B.A.R.T. and CalTrain around the city during my several days stay. There is also a Major Hurricane that I just heard will be making landfall near Mazatlan, Mexico in the coming hours at around 125mph!!! I will expect this will increase the total amount of earthquake energy currently in the picture, with two other major earthquakes pending over near the Himalayan Arc also possibly becoming associated with this weeks full moon. Keep in mind that in addition to Chile having been one hour before the syzgy of the full moon, Christchurch was two days after, as well as that major aftershock at Christchurch also being two days after the full moon. I will still be in Frisco two days after or Friday Night, leaving Saturday Oct. 15 at 2pm.

So, I want everybody to be well aware that there WILL BE a Major Earthquake on about the exact day of this months Full Moon, October 12, 2011 or one of the days immediately before or after. . . . . I hope San Francisco does not receive the full brunt of it!!!!! (Because I will be there!!!) You may want to note that I intend to visit the San Francisco Zoo on that day to look for any unusual animal behavior!

OFFICIAL PREDICTION FOR A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE TO STRIKE EUREKA, CALIFORNIA BEFORE OCTOBER 21, 2011

The landfall of Typhoon Roke at Japan will send a lot of earthquake energy across the Pacific Tectonic Plate in a straight line that I follow with the use of a patented tool and have came up with the area between Coos Bay, Oregon and Eureka, California and while the actual line does not intersect either city, I simply chose Eureka because I have far more readers, followers, and friends in that area, and I suppose with the Triple Plate Junction being located right there off shore from Eureka, it might be slightly more probable that this new upcoming earthquake will affect the T.P.J., than Coos Bay and Goose Lake. Note that Curran, Nevada and Ely, Nevada is just down the road along that straight line just in case Nevada may be due for this major earthquake to strike there.

Typhoon Roke had been reported to have wind gusts of up to 155 mph in the hours before it finally made landfall at Japan where it continued on in sort of a North Easterly direction, although Japan itself is not positioned exactly north, south, east, or west, so you can just take my word for it that I lined up my straight line tool with the exact direction that I had observed on a weather satellite film clip at the time of the landfall last night.

I will now be expecting this new major earthquake to be as big as 7.6 Richters Magnitude and I suppose it could possibly strike at virtually any moment now, or as soon as this Sunday, September 25, 2011. This Official Prediction will run now through October 21, 2011 because that is about 30 Days after landfall and as a general rule seismic energy reaches North America from Japan in around 20 Days, so I just basically threw that additional ten days in there for good measure. This Official Prediction will be absent an exhibit which might explain the travel times for seismic energy and I assume that the travel times of “P” Waves, and “S” Waves are pretty much accepted science as of this writing, and need no further explanation.

This is an Official Prediction for a REAL EARTHQUAKE and I notice that while I am submitting it to earthquake people, there seems to be in general very little in the way of letting any of the affected people know there is a REAL EARTHQUAKE heading for them. It is my hope that this severe lack of information will not become a problem at the epicenter of this earthquake like it is today a problem with Japan and Christchurch. Those Official Predictions as well as my Official Prediction of December 22, 2009 for a major earthquake to strike California before January 12, 2010 do fortunately exist historically and will continue to exist in perpetuity. Now would be a great time to begin letting the People of California up that way that there may be a major earthquake in the coming days.

In the event that there is not an updated Curriculum Vitae attached to this new O.P., then I want to amend past versions now to reflect the fact that I was Event Security at the recent Kid Rock, Maroon 5, Lady Antebellum Concert at Lambeau Field in Green Bay prior to the first game of the NFL Season that was broadcast on NBC. For two hours alone I was security for Kid Rocks limo! Thereafter I was moved to an area between section one and section two and also got to enjoy the whole entire concert.

In closing I want every single person who reads this while it is active, to be really aware that this upcoming earthquake has the energy to be the NEXT BIG CALIFORNIA EARTHQUAKE!!! The epicenter would not be that many miles off if it were to strike San Francisco, Seattle, or Los Angeles, and there is a small chance we could dodge all of this energy and it could strike Central America or Venezuela, but I will post those specifics at a later date since they would probably strike on a much later schedule.

Japan Typhoon Could Mean Earthquake Energy!!!

Just seen a shot of Typhoon Roke currently about to make landfall at South Japan with windspeeds of 109 and Gusts of 155 mph!!! As of this writing it was uncertain exactly where it would make its landfall and what direction it would be heading when it does, but note that this will for sure result in the general direction that all this new earthquake energy will be traveling!!! Further, as this huge typhoon makes landfall and nears Japan where it is expected to rake right across Tokyo, I will be expecting that something very major could shake right there at Japan and right there as those huge winds blow across that very shaky island in the Pacific!!! Be watching with all this being taken into consideration, for 8 Richters with that number being chosen basically just because it just seems like an 8 is over due for an after shock. In actuality 155 mph gusts will diminish at landfall and perhaps leave a 7.9 Richters Magnitude Earthquake. Finally, I want all my regular readers to know ahead of time that THIS will now mean a huge major earthquake, if not right tonight/tomorrow at Japan. . . then possibly California or Western U.S.A. in the coming days! Full Moon!!!!! Just Some Medium Shakers to watch for!!!

There has been a real lot of earthquake energy out there so I just thought I should write today to say that due to tonights Full Moon, there will be a much higher chance for folks to get a good shaker! However, the highest wind speeds of ANY of the hurricanes and typhoons has hardly been 100 mph and for the most part none of them have really had any hundred mile an hour wind speeds anyways, probably with the exception of Hurricane Katia which was at one time up to a Category 3 or 4 until I think it struck shallower water out in the middle of the Atlantic. This reduction of the wind speeds generally will create some earthquake energy similar to a landfall or Sandy Bottoms, but probably no where near the energy as if it would have made a major landfall at the Continental U.S. or somewhere and did all that damage! Therefore, Irenes energy followed almost the exact path of cities that I named in my previous entry to this one that you may read, and Vancouver Island got a good 6 Magnitude shaker the other day in addition to all that. So, tonight, while there isn't too much earthquake energy left to speak of, let's continue to watch and just see if there is still a Good "S" Wave lurking somewhere that could give one of those cities such as The Panama Canal, or Downtown Jakarta, a 7.1 Richters Earthquake on or very near the night of the FULL MOON!!!!! EQ Alert: Panama, Quito, Sichuan, Jakarta!

This alert will run pretty much all the way through September 2011 and possibly a few days beyond. The new line of earthquake energy generated by the landfall of Hurricane Irene at Eastern U.S.A. will now head practically due north towards China where I see it comes very close to that area where the Great Sichuan China earthquake struck and so I am listing that name, but it really applies to the entire general region of China, although it could well have a Sichuan Epicenter. The line continues and intersects Thailand and Cambodia but there may not be any active fault lines in that immediate area, and continues to go straight through Jakarta, Indonesia and thinking about it I don't recall Jakarta ever getting a direct hit or actually being at the epicenter of a major shaker? South of Hurricane Irenes landfall is Kingston, Jamaica where they also don't usually get too many earthquakes but nearby Haiti may be due for something and I will put the magnitude at 6.8 Richters and not much bigger if any. Finally the line continues south to Panama where you can practically always count on me being very accurate and even the exact date and time on Panama will be any minute now!!!!! Quito, Ecuador is further south and if the line should continue south beyond there, I don't beleive it intersected Chile, and nobody should worry about it heading south towards the Pacific/Antarctic Tectonic Plate Boundary. EQ Alert: East Coast Aftershocks!!!

Every single point at which the extreme winds contact so much as shallow waters along the path of a hurricane such as Irene there is a certain amount of new earthquake energy generated. Irene will be making such contacts numerous times in its journey through the Bahamas and has already made contact beginning a few days ago with Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Haiti. While all of these would have probably been the energy felt in Washington, D.C. today, it should be noted that all of these other upcoming landfalls could also generate additional earthquake energy that could also strike up around the same exact region, or Richmond, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and New York, New York. Ultimately there may well be a major landfall with winds over a hundred miles per hour and that landfall WILL GENERATE a Major Earthquake as big as 7 or 8 Richters, although that big shaker will probably not strike our East Coast. Yes, the full moon will be tonight, Friday, and I am happy to report that there is not really too much earthquake energy out there. Just checked and it has been 53 days since the last major energy and only a few smaller sources since then. . . not much to worry about especially tonight, or the days before and after the full moon. Stay tuned for those hurricanes and typhoons and there is a Cat 4 heading directly for Japan right at the moment and close to 90 degree waters in the Gulf of Mexico, but all that is yet to come! I noticed when looking at an actual map of Japan that perhaps Osaka might be one of the places an aftershock could hit since the actual overall length of Japan is like a thousand or more miles and it now seems possible that all these major aftershocks could be striking that immediate region! Sumatra Aftershocks 120 and 1200 Miles from Original Epicenter!!!

The Major Aftershocks of the Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004 and the mileage from the original epicenter is as follows: March 28, 2005 at 8.6 Richters 120 Miles South (SSE), July 17, 2006 at 7.7 Richters 1200 Miles SouthWest, and September 12, 2007 at 8.5 Richters 625 Miles South. While I can not actually say that each of these three major earthquakes have been officially catagorized as "Aftershocks" of the Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004, which is listed as 9.1 Richters, I do want to basically just note that 120 Miles was as close as an actual Major Aftershock struck to the exact epicenter of the original. While interestingly 1200 Miles away seemed to also be affected although I can't say that July 2006 event was ever termed an aftershock.

So, now we will be watching for a major aftershock as big as the ones I have just listed above and right at the moment perhaps we should start thinking about watching Alaska and our West Coast into the coming week or so because there is still one major earthquake out there and one source of earthquake energy still waiting to strike somebody, somewhere. Right at the moment I still lean heavilly on the Japan Region for a major aftershock, though!!!!! EQ Guy

Japan Aftershock on or about June 30???

I like to assume that because the Great Sumatra Earthquake back in 2004 had two major aftershocks in the 8 Magnitude range, that the recent Great Japan Earthquake will probably also have aftershocks along those same lines. I had accurately figured exactly when the aftershocks of Sumatra would occur, and am now resonably sure that on or about June 30 something should really shake over in the Japan Region again. It should be noted and I think any reasonable seismology person would agree that the major aftershocks may not strike out at the same exact spot. The reason I'm thinking this is because is it possible that the major aftershocks could strike a populated area? Or Not? Or should aftershocks still strike out in the ocean? In any event the same movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate is currently taking place and if it is going to shake Japan again. . . that day might be June 30. However I have been told by a real seismologist that if my method of predicting the movement of tectonic plates IS accurate, then the actual earthquake energy could be released at any time and that it probably will not duplicate the exact day and time, of course. So be watching out starting now and through June 30 and a couple days beyond for 8 Richters Magnitude to strike that region, and I suppose possibly not Japan, but I'm wondering if there isn't a small chance for Alaska, Canada, or our West Coast to get some of this earthquake energy? The correlation date for Christchurch/Japan from earlier this year = Japan on June 30th, but it is unlikely a similar sequence would repeat exactly, Just Sayin'. Could strike elsewhere you know, but Japan IS about due for 8 Mag. Aftershock. EQ Guy

Just copied that from my EQ Guy Facebook page and want to add that I counted the number of days after this years major Christchurch Earthquake until Japan and that number is like 17 days. . . so now 17 days after this recent Christchurch Earthquake will be June 30. Also this is very nearly the exact same movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate taking place, however that may not dictate the earthquake energy will necessarily strike at Japan again. Japan, Japan, Japan!!!!! Is a Major Aftershock Due?

The earthquake energy from the Joplin Tornado headed in a straight line towards Escondido, and Mexicali, California, and continued on towards New Zealand. Next, a major earthquake or aftershock, struck at Christchurch this week and practically right along that line of new earthquake energy. Japan will also now be along that line, and perhaps at about the same number of days to follow as occurred back in the February / March 2011 series of events. It is possible, though, that it will not take the same number of days, or that it could happen sooner or take a few days longer for the new earthquake energy to reach Japan. It is also possible that this new earthquake energy will miss Japan and strike Indonesia, China, or elsewhere, but let me tell you Japan is about due for an 8 Magnitude aftershock. While there is a full moon on the night of Wednesday, June 15, this earthquake energy will not be set to be released on that night due to it still taking possibly a few days yet to move the entire Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate and push it up into the Japan region. The full moon actually only increases the amount of stress on existing tectonic plate boundaries and while it may release some earthquake energy somewhere, it may not cause a major Japan aftershock to occur right on the exact evening of the full moon nor the next night. . . but something very well could happen there just the same and we do pretty much know that earthquakes do tend to strike on the night of the full moon. Example, the big Chile earthquake from last year struck just a couple hours before the full moon, and the original Christchurch earthquake from earlier in 2011 struck two days after the full moon. So watch out for earthquakes the night of the full moon, and watch out for Japan to get a major aftershock in the coming days as well, but that could occur beyond the full moon days. EQ Guy

One Major Earthquake Seems To Be Out There. . . Yet!!! California???

Sunday will be Day 14 after the now great Joplin Tornado and so I write today just to mention that there does still seem to be one major earthquake which I expect to follow Joplin, that has yet to strike! Thursday, June 9 will be 18 days after Joplin and so let's be watching between now and June 9 for a major earthquake and I still want to post Escondido, California for about the epicenter, although Mexicali and Capistrano are also along that line. Of course movement between the North American and Pacific Tectonic Plates does not necessarily occur right at Borrego Springs or Huntington Beach, either, rather can probably shake anywhere along the San Andreas Fault or Hawaii/Japan for that matter and note that on June 9 when this alert basically ends for the West Coast, it continues several more days for Japan. Joplin, Missouri yesterday at 5:41pm, tornado with 2000 buildings damaged or destroyed and 90 people killed so far. Minneapolis tornado with winds of 111 to 135 mph. All of this tornado and enormous winds damage is sure to generate huge earthquake energy that could first strike at the North American and Pacific Tectonic Plate Boundary. I will have more accurate information as to the possible magnitude in a day or two, but figure 7 Richters West Coast / California, and 8 or more for Japan and Indonesia, etc. Sorry I don't have any more than that right at the moment such as exactly where this earthquake energy might be heading, the direction tornadoes travel on the ground contributes to this. Expert Says Spain Earthquake and Mt. Etna Eruption Connected!!!

For the people that read all of my earthquake writings regularly on a routine basis, this news might not have even been all that noticeable. While it did catch my attention immediately, it was still a couple more days before I actually came to realize the importance of this discovery, or rather astounding scientific statement by a gentleman referred to in the press as an expert. It took me an additional day or so to fully comprehend the fact that this is now today the point in time where possibly accepted science might now recognize that all of these earthquakes that happen in the whole big plate tectonics scenario are connected, as well as all the volcanoes, and tsunamis! A man in Italy by the name of Domenico Patane, who happens to also be the head of the Sicily office of Italy’s National Geophysics Institute, said that the recent eruption of Mr. Etna was connected to last weeks major earthquake in Spain!!! He also points out that both the Spain Earthquake and Mount Etna are on the same tectonic plate, which all my usual readers have long known about from reading my earthquake writings.

I hope this can become the point in time that will forever be remembered as the day that Precision Plate Tectonics was officially discovered by an expert. It is my opinion that Dominico Patane is elegible for a Nobel Prize in Physics for this great discovery and The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Box 50005, SE-104 05 Stockholm, Sweden are the folks who give that award, you might mention the old EQ Guy if you write to them folks as well!!! Now it is possible that all those millions of people who live practically directly beneath the likes of Mt. Ironically this is exactly what I said the night of last years Eureka, California earthquake when at the far east corner of this same tectonic plate the Haiti earthquake struck three days later.

Here's One More Exact Date and Time!!! I Know. . . This Is Now My Third Attempt:)

One more try, Wednesday May 18, at 4:36am PDT and then I promise no more of these attempts at the exact date and time for an earthquake. I added a couple of additional days to the last guess which was 14 to bring it up to the number of days that the World Series Earthquake followed the landfall of Hurricane Hugo at Charleston back in the days. So if you are actually following my research into the speed that earthquake energy might travel then I want to add that this is the final guess at the exact date and time. That is unless I come up with any examples of huge windstorms striking the North American Tectonic Plate and then releasing the earthquake energy relatively nearby. Keep remembering that there still seems to be one huge earthquake out there of virtually unknown magnitude, or possibly as big as 8 or more Richters, but I doubt if it could be 9 Richters so something like 7.9 would probably even be kind of big for this one, but 7.6 Richters? If you follow my earthquake writing closely, you will know that I mostly post exact dates and times from previous correlations, but that the exact moment from an old one probably won't be much use in future predictions. Just the same today I want to give the exact time and date correlation for the Great Barneveld Tornado with an old Haiti/Dominican Republic Earthquake of 1984. That earthquake followed the tornado by 14 days, 11 hours, and 36 minutes and with that; the exact date and time following the April 27 tornado at Tuscaloosa could be a major earthquake, possibly California or West Coast on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 4:36am CDT, 2:36am PDT. Again, please note that there is hardly a correlation for the exact moment and you might more understand that anytime between that last prediction i posted and this next one something could shake. . . and it could be California! Gentlemen,
I checked the date on the tornado that struck Kalamazoo in the days before the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens and found that date was May 13, 1980 at 4:09pm and lasting 20 minutes. Next I checked the exact day and time of that major eruption of Mt. St. Helens and found May 18, 1980 at 8:32 am PDT. Of course I know that not everybody reading fully believes the major tornado to have anything to do with the eruption, but I've been working in the mechanical industries long enough to have no problem with this equation. The result is that now 4 1/2 days or so after that major tornado at Tuscaloosa, it will be possible that we could experience a major earthquake along our West Coast or California in that same time frame! This could include Mexico or Central America. The exact date and time IF this should per chance strike at the same moment would be Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 3:24 am PDT, 5:24 am CDT. There is usually no correlation for the exact moment and one of my professional earthquake associates has noted that if my process is true, then the earthquake energy will still be released at it's own time and obviously NOT exactly on the same timetable as Mount St. Helens was in 1980, but since this matter seems to be serious enough I decided to measure off of the 1980 event and go from there. It actually could even strike in the hours before that exact time or even tonight, yet. I checked and did not see a Los Angeles Lakers game in the coming hours so no repeat of my awesome Padre/Kobe Quake from like last year!!!

There IS a major earthquake coming, and I am calling this new energy Beta Energy meaning it is just basic plate tectonic energy and not the Alpha Earthquake energy that is much more predictable and travels in a straight line as you often hear me say. Further, I did actually hear from one source that the Tuscaloosa tornado was heading North East while on the ground and if I employed my Alpha Theory and followed that straight line it would indicate that this upcoming new earthquake could strike at Guadalajara, Colima, or Mexico City at 3:24 am PDT, May 3, 2011 or tomorrow morning, give or take a few minutes or hours. That may also be a little further than the distance from Kalamazoo to Mount St. Helens so be watching this prediction carefully! Regions further than California such as Japan and Alaska should not be affected by this day and time prediction much beyond Mexico and Central America, although they could be just days beyond this date. My prediction for the magnitude remains around a 7, but keep in mind that in Japan if could still hit 8.

This is an amendment to my Official Prediction filed on April 20, 2011 which also stated that in lieu of any additional major tornadoes it would be automatically continued, and was continued on April 28, 2011 to be valid through the month of May 2011. This amendment is only for the purpose of defining the exact date and time of an earthquake resultant only of the Tuscaloosa Tornado. The original Official Prediction should still continue through the end of May and while this first in a series of major earthquakes probably will strike at or very near the above stated time, it could be a few hours or days off, and there will still be other significant earthquakes that will follow as a result of some of these other major tornadoes at a rate very similar to one major tornado equals one major earthquake. Generally a few homes blown away will equal a few homes shaken badly, and a lot of homes blown away or greatly damaged will equal a lot of homes shaken and destroyed or greatly damaged by the resulting earthquake. I like to think ninety percent of the tornado energy transfers to the earthquake, but the exact science behind that formula remains in the future, yet, but I know it is a high rate of transfer.

Earthquake Tuesday Morning 3:24 am PDT!!! Be Prepared!!!

My estimate for the EXACT DATE and TIME for this upcoming New Earthquake will be on May 3, 2011 at 6:24am Eastern Time or 3:24 am Pacific Time, and 20 min long!!! Be watching for 7 or 8 Richters. In addition to Los Angeles, San Francisco, California, Mt. St. Helens, Washington and Oregon, this could also strike Central America or Mexico and if it doesn't strike that moment, give me an extra day or two at most. This exact time is only for like North and Central America. More distant regions such as Alaska, Japan, and Chile, etc. should not be affected on this exact date and time, probably a few days longer or another week or so if this one is a "miss." Huge Tornado Incident / Huge Earthquake Heading Somewhere!!!

For many years now I have included tornadoes as things that preceed major earthquakes. Haven't always, but they had come up along the way AND they do seem to generate sufficient energy to cause the ground to move and thus earthquake energy to be released at the tectonic plate boundaries. Today they are showing huge amounts of tornado damage all across the south and this includes a number of towns that have been hit very hard with Tuscaloosa and Birmingham among them. There was an 8 Magnitude earthquake in China that followed a major tornado that had struck at Tuscaloosa a number of years ago and I have to now expect, without a lot of info on wind speeds which will come later, expect a major earthquake with the max being 8 Richters. I suppose as usual shaky areas may go higher. This will now be a great chance for earthquake energy to reach the West Coast of the U.S., but might get started with an earthquake actually striking the immediate region that just had the tornadoes such as North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, etc. You may be aware that most of these areas even do get earthquakes, so this time it will be roughly the equivilent of the amount that will strike at the edge of the tectonic plate, but could be larger when that energy reaches California! This message will now continue my most recent Official Prediction through the end of May 2011. My experience with large tornado systems is that there WILL BE a major earthquake to follow, and at some point we really need to know the exact path on the ground to say where.

There have now been hundreds of tornadoes in the last few days and I must today write a quick note California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council and National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council that we might expect a medium sized earthquake in the coming days. The TV News is showing some amounts of damage, but I do not believe I have seen any enormous amounts of damage such as entire major towns being leveled or swaths of 30 or 50 miles and hundreds of homes destroyed noting that would then indicate significant earthquake energy having been generated. At the same time my usual saying is that if a lot of wind just blew the roof off a guys barn in Missouri, and blew down some power lines and a tree, that in itself would be just too small of an amount of earthquake energy for me to track. I do want your offices to be aware, though, that the sheer number of all of the tornadoes could collectively add up to enough earthquake energy to shake somewhere out along the edge of the North American Tectonic Plate in the coming days. In the future we will need to know the exact number of trees uprooted and broken off as well as number of homes that sustained major damage or were destroyed. The number I have watched for in the past is around a hundred and I don't believe any total has come in yet as far as the total amount of damage from all of those April Tornadoes. I would ultimately need to know what direction the path on the ground was for each of these as well, this would give us a better idea of a potential epicenter you understand. Absent that info this can only be a general alert. ( ! )

It was sort of borderline whether or not to submit this info to CEPEC and NEPEC, but I decided I should not stand around on the outside watching for this earthquake without sending you guys along at lease this E-Mail. There is now a good chance California and our West Coast might receive an earthquake of around 6.5 Richters but I suppose this one could go as large as 7.0 keeping in mind that I do not have any damage totals which could help right now to assess the earthquake risk and possibly help somebody somewhere to be better prepared. I like to add one Richter for Japan so that would be 7.5 to 8.0 for Japan where they should eventually get one or two 8 Magnitude aftershocks anyways, but they are pretty much out of our jurisdiction.

I have on several occasions found tornadoes to precede major earthquakes, and have had a couple of accurate EQ Alerts that I posted immediately after a tornado, and a major earthquake followed. Upon checking for previous earthquakes that struck the Haiti region for example, I happened to find one there that coincidentally had been preceded by a really big tornado in the U.S., and the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens was preceded a week or so by half of Kalamazoo being leveled by a tornado. Both of those were what I call huge tornadoes of the size that I do not believe we are talking about so far today, therefore, I do not expect either Mt. St. Helens to erupt OR another Haiti earthquake to be the result of the earthquake energy so far generated by the April 2011 series of tornadoes in the U.S., but I also stated that I did not expect the Japan earthquake to be Vesuvius 79AD either.

P. by letter should run about 30 days, this earthquake or earthquakes will probably show up by May 20 in the United States and by then be all but forgotten anyways unless additional energy comes along.

FULL MOON, Sunday or Monday Night!!! Earthquake Probably Will Strike, Albeit 5.9 to 6.3 Richters

There are two different versions on what day the Full Moon will be!!!!! Todays newspaper gives the date as April 17, which would be tonight and the calender has tomorrow or Monday listed as the day of the full moon. I haven't been incorporating the full moon in my alerts long enough to really know what we should do in this situation and couldn't really guess which one is right, but we DO need an actual date for the full moon in order to acheive the highest accuracy! Short of that we will have to go with both dates and now be watching for a major earthquake to strike on either night! If somebody has an accurate date for the Full Moon and an explanation for why the newspaper and calender differ, please let me know.

There were a lot more tornadoes in the past 24 hours as well, and some of these look like they have done noteworthy amounts of damage. In general major amounts of damage is how I begin to track earthquake energy at this point the worst of these really big tornadoes have always preceded major earthquakes, so I more or less know smaller ones such as we have been getting the last three days, will mean several smallish earthquakes.

Be watching now for any number of smallish shakers of around 6.0 Richters and with the exception of aftershocks at Japan which could hit much, much higher. . . none should go too much above 6.3 Richters. With the number of tornadoes we have now experienced in the past three or so days, and the Full Moon tonight and/or tomorrow night there will be earthquakes!!! And watch a couple days after the full moon as well. I'm also watching Japan closely to see how big their aftershocks will get with that full moon, and how nobody is going to warn them! FULL MOON / 80 Tornadoes!!!!! Should Be More Shakers!!!

Just heard the moon should be full on Saturday Night, April 16 and also heard there was reportedly 80 tornadoes in the last day or so with some of those doing a lot of damage. Be watching now for any number of smallish shakers in the 6.0 Range and with the exception of aftershocks at Japan which could hit higher, none should go much above a 6. There could be a lot of them in the 5 or 6 range, maybe 6.3 or 6.5? With that many tornadoes and the Full Moon tomorrow night always watch for the next couple days and nights after the full moon as well. While Japan is naturally going to expect possibly 2 major aftershocks of as high as 8 Magnitude someday. . . this shouldn't be that day, but 7.5 or 7.6 is still not out of the question over there since it is obvious it is still shaking about every day and we are very sorry, too! Another Dozen Tornadoes Yesterday!!! Watch For More Earthquakes!!! 5.5 to 6.1 Richters, USA

Happening too fast to keep up with all the info coming in, but all in all not as big judging by the F-1, F-2, etc. numbers they are giving these tornadoes, although the report of 120 mph winds counts for something. Just the same without having any more info than that, I can tell you that the North American Tectonic Plate moves when high winds uproot a lot of trees, this will next hit the Pacific Plate, etc. And while it is actually the wind that was blowing on the trees that creates the earthquake energy, experience has taught me that when it is uprooting trees. . . there will be earthquake energy!!! Even though to some extent it might have actually created more earthquake energy if the wind hadn't uprooted or broken off the tree just by virtue of still continuing to blow on it, versus having cleared a path for itself. So, let's guess 5.5 to 6.1 Richters USA, Mexico, Central America. 7 Range Japan where they will of course continue getting earthquakes for a while naturally anyways, but keep catching a little bit of every new earthquake energy just the same. Fairly Big Swarm of 3-4 Richter Shakers Near Hawthorne, Nevada

More tornadoes, and a fair series of earthquakes striking Nevada!!! Until something concrete comes in as far as major tornado damage, such as half of Kalamazoo being destroyed prior to the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens, then everybody just keep an eye on the number of tornadoes and the seriousness of the incident because I have a theory that goes big windstorm=big earthquake, huge windstorm=huge earthquake, and the biggest of windstorms=the biggest of earthquakes! Everybody keep that in mind as reports of tornadoes come in during tornado season because I can't always write them here and todays Nevada swarm may have been tornado related earthquake energy. Also there will be significant shakers following the recent Honshu Japan earthquake including probably a couple major shakers right in Japan for like 24 Months or so yet. Sorry I have been very busy updating my new book, "My Earthquake Memoirs" and overlooked a series of tornadoes that struck somewhere in the Southern USA earlier this week. While I have not yet viewed the total amount of damage from those extreme windstorms, I want all my readers to be aware that those winds will likely increase the earthquake energy and everybody should now be watching for like one or two more earthquakes that should not register much higher than 7 Richters Magnitude. This new alert will go on for another week or two and will continue if there are more big windstorms. In the future if we can accurately gather such information as the direction on the ground of the path of these as well as the amount of damage including number of trees uprooted and broken off, then we can better know and be aware anytime there is new earthquake energy heading for us such as struck Mexico/Guatamala, and Japan yesterday. Major Earthquakes Passing: Next Time We Might Want To Warn People

It is now two weeks since the recent Great Japan Earthquake of 2011 and a month since the Major Christchurch, New Zealand Earthquake and I have now had thousands of views at my EQ Blog, but nobody enquiring about my “EQ Alert Theory.” So, this is about the point where all of us may simply go on with our lives and my best readers can basically just wait for the next major earthquake to appear in my EQ Blog, as always in the days and weeks before it strikes!!! Finally, I want to say one last thing here: Tropical Cyclone Yasi had winds reported at 340 Kilometers Per Hour and I converted that wind speed last night on a conversion chart and found 211 Mph, or normal winds for a Huge Windstorm but among the highest!!! Next, that Tropical Cyclone made landfall at Queensland heading west, then I posted an alert for Kiribati, Christchurch, and Tuvalu, an Official Prediction followed. Next Christchurch had a major earthquake, and I next messaged New Zealand Herald among others stating Christchurch was not the “Grand Finale” even apologizing for the use of the word “Finale” knowing the final event would probably be a major disaster, and numerous times I noted the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate was actually moving THE OTHER DIRECTION and mentioned the Himalayan Arc. I also stated Andaman/Nicobar Islands and Japan once or twice around that time as well. Then the Great Honshu Japan Earthquake struck, then was upgraded to 9.0 Richters, an exact match for the amount I had mentioned this one being as big as. Finally, knowing the night of the full moon would intensify the risk of aftershocks I posted my usual Full Moon Alert, and Japan received two major aftershocks around the 6.5 / 6.8 range 48 hours after that full moon. The Christchurch Earthquake also actually struck 48 hours after last months full moon. It has now been 51 days since that original landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi which is where all of this earthquake energy started in the first place and as a rule I do not usually watch much for earthquakes beyond that date. However due to the severity of this matter, we should as a precaution be watching through Day 60 or about April 3, 2011 for any additional earthquake energy related to this alert, and for your information it does look like California and our West Coast could still get a smallish 6 or 7 Richters Shaker! After reading about the recent Spartanburg Park Train Accident, i just happened across several smallish earthquakes striking right in that immediate area and am presently wondering if that Mini-Train Accident killing one boy could have been earthquake related????? The accident also seems to have occured right at a creek crossing where there could possibly be a fault. Althought I did not check the proximity of Spartanburg, South Carolina to the historic location of that major Carolina Earthquake from like the late 1800's.

Dear Sirs,
You should be aware that the body of my recent Official Prediction dated February 8, 2011, mentioned the fact that this major upcoming earthquake would be 9.0 Richters and at the Andaman/Nicobar Islands, noting that Japan was 2800 Miles off with the Magnitude now being exactly right! Further, this major earthquake struck well within the usual number of days that this kind of earthquake energy takes to travel the route it traveled in recent days. I also want to point out that I mentioned a few times along the way that Christchurch WAS NOT the sum of the earthquake energy we had on our hands, neither was 6.3 Richters the size of the major event I was anticipating. My words were “Christchurch 6.3 was NOT the Grand Finale.” This message appeared in many of my writings in the days following the big New Zealand Earthquake and possibly in the CEPEC/NEPEC Update that followed. In the future I hope the California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council, and the National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council will understand that when I say there is going to be a major earthquake. . . . . there IS going to be a major earthquake. Saturday will be the Full Moon and Sunday the Spring Equinox!!! These are sometimes nominal days when there is little or no earthquake energy tracking anywhere in the world, on THIS occasion THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL MAJOR EARTHQUAKE ENERGY and while primarily in Japan and very much out of the jurisdiction of CEPEC and NEPEC, I must impress upon both councils to at the very least give some mention to the great dangers to the State of California and our West Coast, and Alaska, that in addition to the fact that there may be significant movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate against the North American Tectonic Plate, in addition there will now be a full moon and a Spring Equinox! It seems worthwhile to me that some day in our future, or at best the future of our children, or grandchildren, that someday somebody should mention the increase of earthquake dangers that comes with the full moon, and that the earths equinox may also contribute somewhat to earthquake energy.

Due to the enormous amount of earthquake energy at work in the world right at the moment, I will extend the end date of my February 8, 2011 Official Prediction from March 17, 2011 out one additional week until March 26, 2011 and do not expect too much more major earthquake energy beyond next week. This letter will ultimately be sent via E-Mail to the my friends in Japan at the Daily Yomiuri @ http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/ and I am very sorry that one of us reading today could not have done more to tell the people of Japan that they were in the general area of all the earthquake energy that ended up striking there. The movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate more or less dictated the possibility Japan could be involved at least in the tsunami wave wherever it was about to occur at and I am as sorry as I can be that me or none of you could get the message to them. Also, I have worked with all of the General Electric guys who do all of the power plant work in the world and I am actually even one of the guys who could get a call to go to Japan and do a lot of the work over there. I also worked for Sony who also has a number of factories that will need work over in Japan as well. At nuclear plants they wear suits and are only allowed to be in certain areas a few minutes like to turn a bolt a couple times, then they have to come back out and the next guy goes in and turns it a couple times, etc. One of my friends tells a story about one guy who tore the sleeve of his suit and had to have his arm amputated because the cancer strikes immediately in the more radioactive situations. Some of the older guys I have worked with were actually on the crews that built the San Onofre and Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plants. Strengthening of all nuclear power plants abilities to be fully prepared for earthquakes and tsunamis might be considered wise in the future, and done to the fullest extent possible will provide a lot of work for me and my friends in the Power Plant biz. All of them will tell you I know what I am talking about, too, and that EARTH Mechanics will become a reality in our future!!!

CONTINUATION UPDATE, MARCH 11, 2011. . . . . I Mentioned Japan Several Times!!!!!

Check out several of my EQ Blog entries from the last few days and weeks with at least two references to Japan, and at one point it mentions “Earthquake, Tsunami, and Volcanoes’ for Japan/Taiwan???” That one is located at my EQ Blog-2 on February 4, 2011, or http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2011/02/cant-forget-that-actual-movement-of.html . . . Japan is also mentioned in Paragraph 5 of my “Letter of Continuation” to CEPEC, and NEPEC, dated February 25, 2011 and posted to my main EQ Blog on February 28, 2011. That paragraph begins, “It is my opinion, Sirs” and was written basically knowing that there was still what is considered a “Great” Earthquake out there somewhere yet. They use the term “Great” to refer to earthquakes considered bigger yet than a “Major” Earthquake. . . if you can imagine a bigger earthquake than a “Major” one!!! Yes, modern science considers any earthquake bigger than major to be a “Great” one for whatever reason. Until a formal letter can be written out exclusively for my friends at The California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council, and National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council, I want this message in whatever form to serve as notice that I do still routinely continue to follow major sources of earthquake energy through the full number of days it may take to shake out all of that major earthquake energy and with this letter I want everybody to know we should continue to watch at least up to the date appearing in all my other post-Yasi writings or March 17, 2011. It is just possible that that movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate might have only bumped Japan albeit severely and this after Christchurch just shook as the potential seismic energy originally left Australia back in February. Please be aware that as far as I can tell it looks like that earthquake energy might just be pushing north and could still strike the north pole tectonic plate and then the North American Tectonic Plate. Next, either severely shaking the San Andreas Fault, or pushing south on that plate and bumping Central America, and then possibly South America with the longshot being like our East Coast or Azores/New Lisbon area. Maybe that Iceland Volcano again? Finally, it is also my opinion that such huge numbers of big shakers such as are now following last nights Honshu Shaker in Japan tend to also seem to cross the Pacific and result in major shaking somewhere along our West Coast, Mexico, Central America, etc. Either way I am saying the shaking is by no means over with and that things will definitely continue to shake majorly easily up to March 17, 2011 and if necessary I will later write to continue it all the way through the month of March 2011. Trust me, I have worked on mechanical stuff all my life and I think I know how Plate Tectonics works!!!!! No Question this matter is to be continued!!!!! Keep watching for actual EARTHQUAKE ENERGY!!!!! Japan actually could move just due to plate tectonics as predicted, and the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate WILL result in major movement of the North American Tectonic Plate!!! This plate tectonic movement travels slower than a tsunami, but continue watching for major earthquakes at North, and Central America. I will update later today!!!

First I want to tell you how sorry I am right now for all those affected by the recent Major Earthquake that struck at Christchurch, New Zealand. Next, I feel I must point out that while not actually mentioning Christchurch in my recent Official Prediction sent to both councils, I had discussed Christchurch in my alert posted on my earthquake blog on February 3, 2011 that you can see at http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-eq-alert-kiribati-christchurch.html a direct link to my EQ Blog entry on that day. Notice Christchurch even appears in the URL-Link since it was actually IN that headline!!! That blog entry was written just hours before the Official Prediction that followed, however that O.P. was not written to the folks in the Pacific Islands and so doesn’t mention them in the manner as my above stated alert did.

I just checked and found that the actual day and time of the Christchurch earthquake on Monday this week WAS February 21, 2011 exactly as I had stated the date being in my Official Prediction filed with CEPEC and NEPEC on February 8, 2011. While I did in fact state “On Or About” February 21. . . you would have to agree that I could not have gotten much closer then the EXACT DATE on this major earthquake.

Today I am now forced to file this LETTER OF CONTINUATION for the purpose of continuing my most recent Official Prediction through Day 43 after the landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone YASI with 340 Kilometer Per Hour winds on February 2, 2011 or until on or about exactly March 17, 2011. I currently use 43 days as a result of the Great Islamabad Earthquake striking 43 days after the landfall of Hurricane Katrina at Louisiana. Note that I have found the vast majority of earthquakes that follow major landfalls of hurricanes, etc. fall between about 20 and 33 days afterwards.

As of this writing there has just been a number of small and medium sized earthquakes striking along the West Coast of the U.S. and Mexico including a 3.4 near Half Moon Bay, a 5.7 at Vera Cruz, Mexico, and a 2.7 practically in the middle of Downtown Huntington Beach yesterday.

It is my opinion, Sirs, that Tropical Cyclone Yasi made landfall at Queensland with 340 Kmh winds, pushed the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate with those extreme winds, resulted in gapping along the plate boundary around New Zealand, shook Christchurch, continued moving the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate and WILL NOW continue pushing that plate probably north towards Bam, Iran, and Islamabad, next either striking Japan or pushing even farther north and eventually along that longitudinal line back to California and the San Andreas Fault. I want to point out that this is a manner similar to the tectonic plate activity that preceded a California earthquake named Parkfield around the year 2003 or 2004, and without checking want to guess the Parkfield area could be in line for this now possible upcoming major earthquake as well.

I want you to be aware that this is the point where in the past I have written that the majority of the potential earthquake energy has probably passed and that this continuation is as a precaution. Please note that is NOT the case today and I DO NOT feel that the extreme earthquake warning in my original Official Prediction of February 8, 2011 is past! Frequently I find it necessary to just basically continue these alerts for no reason other than that the time frame for such energy runs through a given number of days, that is not the reason for this writing today and this specific earthquake energy we are watching for HAS NOT struck yet. Further, note that this Official Prediction also does not contain the entire discussion of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and other nations that could and probably WILL be affected since I have my hands full just trying to update the California and National people and am sorry for all the other folks that are out there and, like the people of Christchurch, will get no warning at all.

Thank-You again for accepting my earthquake writing and won’t you please alert the people of California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska to be prepared!!!

Still could be that one big major earthquake out there. I want to say tonight that it is very possible that the recent earthquake at Christchurch, New Zealand might have been a sign that the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate is making a major move and areas such as Bam Iran, Sichuan China, Japan, the Andaman/Nicobar Islands, and Indonesia could get the 8 Richters Earthquake in the coming days, now. Finally, this will eventually lead back to Baja California and our West Coast and San Andreas Fault while at the same time leaving the possibility that the recent shaker at Chch will be now moving the Pacific Tectonic Plate back towards Chile, South and Central America. Reports are indicating that the winds off Lake Michigan were as high as 70 mph and the winds reported with Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi are as high as 340 Kmh!!!!! I know that is Kilometers Per Hour, but just saying this will now mean a Major Earthquake as big as 8 Richters and could strike at any moment in the areas around Kiribati, Christchurch, and Baja California and be especially watching a lot of those other island nations and regions along that straight line beginning at the point where Cyclone Yasi made landfall yesterday at Queensland, Australia. This will sure be a major alert for California and the Western United States, but note that it is not a straight line of earthquake energy heading there and as a result is only based on plate tectonic movement beyond Baja California being directly in line with the force created by Cyclone Yasi with 190 mph winds.
With it looking like most of the U.S. has also gotten a lot of snow and upwards of 20 inches in a lot of places and drifts in the 10 to 15 foot range, I want to also note that those ever so slightly shaky earthquake areas of Southern Illinois, and Indiana, and Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee could get a good shaking in the coming hours and days as well.
This has happened before that we are now looking at major earthquake, after major earthquake, after major earthquake and I expect at least my regular readers to now know and be well aware that there is right now this extensive series of Major Earthquakes heading for those areas!!! This will mean volcano activity, tsunamis, and many major earthquakes with several hours of aftershocks to follow!!! Did I leave anything out? Pass the word along to be prepared!!! Batteries in flashlights and radios, gas in the chain saws and heavy equipment, and stock up on food and water because somebody out there is going to be getting a lot of this new earthquake energy very soon!!! We are getting those severe winter conditions that you might have heard me discuss in the past that always precede Major Earthquakes!!!!! Just a heck of a lot of snow that is now looking like it is going to be covering quite a great amount of our country including down south in places where they are saying they are getting record amounts!!! The states out along our East Coast look to be next and should be getting the same thing tomorrow. Right this moment there is also a major Tropical Cyclone about to make landfall at Australia with winds up to 160 Knots!!! These conditions will cause a lot of earthquake energy to create a lot of movement between tectonic plates and we will now be watching for some major releases of earthquake energy and should especially mostly be aware of this in California and our West Coast, with Alaska already getting a 5.9 Richters shaker today. This now upcoming major earthquake could go as high as 7.6 Richters and I will send along more updates and probably file an Official Prediction with CEPEC and NEPEC in the coming days. Full Moon Tonight. . . . .Not Much Else Happening

Yes, someone just happened to mention that the moon looked rather full tonight and so yours truely took a look at the calender to find that tonight is the full moon!!! (January 19, 2011) So I'm just taking a moment tonight to tell everybody that there isn't too much else going on as far as earthquakes are concerned and if there had been I surely would have mentioned it, and known that it was the night of the full moon, and posted an alert if there was one active. California Is Getting Some Earthquakes, 1-11-11!!!

I allowed the current Official Prediction to run out on January 3, 2011 due to a lot of the snow melting during a really warm spell in our area. That O.P. was dependent on A LOT of snow weighing down the North American Tectonic Plate, and while there was a series of tornadoes that struck around St. Louis recently as well, I thought that to be a whole new situation and decided NOT to just randomly add to that existing Official Prediction even though there still would remain a small chance for something to happen out California way, it would not be the huge shaker all the snow and extreme cold might have caused the West Coast. Here Comes a Lot More Earthquake Energy!!!!!

If you didn't know, the East Coast of the USA just got a lot of new snow with total amounts now in at over two feet in a lot of areas!!! Winds had been reported as high as 65 mph gusts as well. There was also a Tropical Cyclone Tasha that made landfall at Northern Australia with winds reported at 105 kmh and upwards of 100 cm of rain. (More cold temps coming, too) This sort of additional severe winter weather in addition to Tropical Cyclone Tasha will now equal even more earthquake energy than we are currently having!!! As if we wern't already getting enough earthquakes! Christchurch New Zealand got a good little shaker this weekend, Reno just had a small shaker, and now more coming! Be especially watching the San Andreas Fault, L.A., S.F., and the Western US/Alaska and be prepared! The final two weeks of that recent Official Prediction could get very busy with major earthquakes! OFFICIAL PREDICTION FOR A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE

IN THE RANGE OF 7 RICHTERS TO STRIKE SAN FRANCISCO,

OR SOMEWHERE IN CALIFORNIA BEFORE JANUARY 3, 2011

Based mostly on the fact that it seems like it’s been a very, very long time since San Francisco was hit by a major earthquake, I decided to name this new Official Prediction after Frisco. This Official Prediction is basically being filed with CEPEC, and NEPEC because of the extreme winter conditions that we are today experiencing over practically our whole country. Reports have placed the conditions of December 2010 as being among the worst December conditions in history. I noticed the year 2003 on this list of bad December conditions and 2003 was also the year I issued my own first ever EQ Alert based on those severe winter conditions and the Paso Robles earthquake struck California on December 23, 2003 after that alert that I had sent out dated December 11, 2003.

On the day of the Northridge Earthquake I researched what all things preceded the movement of the tectonic plates there and found severe winter conditions to be the likely culprit. Next, I resolved that if that was indeed so, then wouldn’t I in fact have to send out some sort of a message/alert to my friends on the West Coast the next time such severe conditions took place? Now, I had also found in the course of my research that the most severe hurricanes making landfall had preceded earthquakes also, but while windstorms also make up a lot of my EQ Alerts, severe winter cannot be ignored and occasionally lead to writings such as this one today. Further, when tracking the earthquake energy from a hurricane or typhoon making landfall, I can quite commonly come up with much more exact tracking due to extremely high winds sending earthquake energy more in a straight line in accordance with Newtons Third Law. At the same time a lot of heavy snow will mostly just push the North American Tectonic Plate down with the amount of weight it produces when it hits the ground and equally pressing against the adjacent tectonic plate when this earthquake type energy reaches a tectonic plate boundary.

This would be exactly what happened at about this same time last year when I was then forced to submit, as you should probably remember, my Official Prediction for California dated December 22, 2009. That Official Prediction, as you should probably start remembering, stated that California would get a major earthquake BEFORE January 12, 2010. Finally you probably remember the Eureka Earthquake striking on January 9, 2010 and the Haiti earthquake striking at 4 in the afternoon on the final day of that Official Prediction, or January 12, 2010. The Great Alaska Earthquake and Tsunami of 1964 was also preceded by a lot of real bad winter conditions, and I would have had a Major EQ Alert out prior to that one as well as an Official Prediction filed with CEPEC and NEPEC, too. Please do not ignore this Official Prediction like you did that December 22, 2009 one. Please DO note that the movement of the North American Tectonic Plate was the cause of the Eureka 2010 Earthquake at the Triple Plate Junction there, and the fact that after that tectonic plate moved up there at Eureka, it continued to move south and caused the Haiti Earthquake killing over 200,000 people.

Insofar as I put San Francisco in the headline of this Official Prediction, I must say that was because the idea just came to me during the writing process that Frisco might be due for this huge new earthquake energy to strike. The Hayward Fault is also said to be due, and so is a section of the San Andreas Fault south of San Bernardino, California. I have to submit to the National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council because of the fact that the alert deals only with the North American Plate being heavily weighted down by a lot of new snow that is still presently falling with as much as 21 inches in a number of towns, and 3 or 4 feet in one or two places. This “Weight On The Tectonic Plate” may also cause earthquake energy to strike up in Seattle, Washington, Oregon, Mt. St. Helens, Nevada, or the Idaho/Montana area. Thinking about it there is the possibility that Alaska could get this major earthquake however understand that such earthquake energy commonly takes more time than the twenty days given in this Official Prediction which deals more or less only with the Continental United States.

Not knowing if I covered the sub-zero temperatures that also preceded the Northridge earthquake, I will now state that there is sufficient extreme cold temperatures all around our country at this writing as well. Further, I seem to recall records being broken right in Tampa and Clearwater, Florida on the night before the Haiti earthquake. My newest theory that might help effectively explain how this further affects the movement of the tectonic plate is that extreme cold while contracting metal, stone, and pretty much all other materials, the one that is possibly the most affected by the cold is the male testicles. They tend to react dramatically to the cold, or more-so to extreme cold in a reaction that no metal or material known to man can exceed. This amount of shrinkage could EASILY cause two tectonic plates at a boundary to slide against each other and give ample room for plates to move at will causing a major earthquake event. Yes, extreme cold shrinks the tectonic plates by a measurable distance, while a lot of snow when combined with gravity will push down on the tectonic plate actually pushing the plates together at the plate boundaries, and finally high winds are also helping to push the tectonic plate around with gusts in Iowa up to 65 mph. Alone, the winds, or the snow, or the cold may not have as much of an affect. . . but when all three combine I hope you will all agree that a major earthquake could well be heading for San Francisco right this minute.

I want to close this Official Prediction with a message to be watching first, because I have found that we usually receive a medium sized earthquake in the middle of the area out east where the get the most of the snow or in that general area. This usually turns out to be around Richmond, Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Pennsylvania and I expect this foreshock to be around 5.3 Richters and should probably strike at any minute now or by sometime this week.

We’re getting unusual amounts of snow being reported out East and unusual cold with records being reported broken down south. I’m very sorry to now have to say there WILL BE a lot of new earthquake energy headed directly towards the San Andreas Fault, although movement of the North American Tectonic Plate will also be south towards Central America and the Caribbean, etc. In 2003 we had a similar occurrence of big amounts of snow early in the season like this and that became my very first accurate snowfall EQ Alert with the major shaker at Paso Robles, California striking on December 23, 2003. Be very aware of that in the coming days, because that Santa Barbara, Lompoc, San Simeon area could well be where this one strikes as well, albeit just a guess. If you are with the California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council or the National Council, (CEPEC or NEPEC) I will submit a more lengthy writing as the seriousness warrants, possibly even raising the magnitude, however today I thought I’d let the Sirs know there IS a major earthquake heading for California, Oregon, Mt. St. Helens, Washington, Seattle, and possibly Alaska. This new major earthquake should at present rate about a 7.1 to 7.5 Richters, although I’m bumping those numbers up today as I watch the forecast and thinking like after this weekend as the snow and extreme cold continues we should expect about that magnitude. Just 6 Magnitude for the next few days. This earthquake WILL STRIKE, but it may also move the North American Tectonic Plate to the south or like Haiti, Central America, or Mexico. Winter is getting More Serious!!! Watch for a 5 Richters Shaker!!!

On the weather today I seen where practically everywhere east of the Great Lakes looks to be getting a lot of snow. At present I am also noticing that it is getting rather cold outside. Absent high winds, these are very close to the exact winter conditions that preceeded the Northridge earthquake, and I can't say if high winds were a part of the weather that preceeded the great Alaska earthquake of the early 1960's, although I don't believe we are getting the amount of snow received in either of those situations. So I want to today say to keep a watchful eye for an earthquake of possibly around 5 Richters Magnitude for the West Coast of the United States and Baja California in the coming days and I suppose a larger one if the snowfall amounts get up too much over a foot, or the temperatures start to reach and stay at ZERO for upwards of 48 Hours. Those extreme cold temperatures were also present right there IN Florida in the hours before the Haiti earthquake earlier this year!!! While not every one of these strikes the continental U.S., we should be aware of this just the same. I will update if something really cold, or extremely heavy snow occurs. With winter coming, i want to mention that the most severe winter conditions tend to preceed major earthquakes!!! Occasionally we could get those most severe conditions without time for me to issue an alert and you may have to keep track of all that just incase of severe conditions! Full Moon. . . Small Alert, Yet!!!

Reviewing the stuff i have written lately i found several alerts dated back in October 2010 that are tonight in the 20 to 30 day range. So, tonight i want to just mostly add that the full moon will increase the chance that is already out there for China and points north from there including the Western United states, although that is way north and all the way on the other side of the earth from China, but still in line with this earthquake energy courtesy of plate tectonics you know. If i totally write off the biggest of the major earthquake energy from back then which was followed by a fairly big Indonesia earthquake, tsunami, and volcano, then that leaves the Chi-Clone, and a Tropical Cyclone that made landfall at Myanmar but wasn't that big as far as miles across wise go and the wind speed was given in Knots and I never translated like 135 Knots to mph, just guessing less wind: result if correct being less shaking, and this would be about all we are now waiting for to strike in the coming hours with the added pull of the full moon and the few nights afterwards. Also, went out to get the mail (USPS Snail Mail) this week and received the Official Copyright for my latest EQ Book titled "My Earthquake Memoirs" so if anyone has any interest in publishing My EQ Memoirs please let me know!!! Exact Day and Time for China Shaker! See New Official Prediction at EQ Blog-2!!!

Since the time is about 12 Hours different from the U.S. in China, I want to put my guess for the exact time of upcoming China 6.5 Magnitude earthquake at Monday Night, but since that would be Monday Night our time. . . I will place the exact moment at 6:45 pm our time on Monday night, or 6:45 am Tuesday China time. That is also give or take the couple hours off from 12 hours difference so I'll take 6:45 pm Central Daylight Time and whatever that ends up being in China as the exact time. I picked this time from the amount of days after the landfall of a recent Tropical Cyclone at Myanmar and extended that time about the exact amount of time it took after a similar major cyclone for the Great Sichuan China earthquake.

NEW MAJOR EARTHQUAKE ALERT!!!!! Lima, Peru/Hawaii/Sumatra!!! 8 Richters!!!

There is now a Major Alert for Hawaii, Sumatra, Bankok, and Lima/Quito in Peru and Ecuador. The spots that fall on this immediate line will most likely be one of the exact locations where the next major earthquake of around 8 Richters Magnitude will strike. Other areas that are nearby include Bolivia, Arica, Cambodia, Singapore, Andaman Island, Nicobar Island, Jakarta, West Coast of the USA, Central America and Mexico although most of these regions are a little bit out of the way of the major earthquake energy from the landfall of Super Typhoon Megi at Luzon late last night and early today with winds that had been reported as high as 180 Mph. I suppose it is possible I just might need to file an "Official Prediction" with the California Earthquake Prediction folks and the National Earthquake Prediction folks in the near future but know that this time those are only for a slight chance of earthquake energy striking California or the United States; there is no earthquake energy heading directly for either via a straight line as IS the case with Lima, Peru and the Andaman, and Nicobar Islands, Sumatra. This New EQ Alert is for a Major Earthquake that WILL STRIKE, and so it is time the world start to be aware of my alerts and be prepared for a major earthquake, and possibly tsunami, to strike. As of Sunday Night this is what Super Typhoon Megi looks like making landfall at the Philippines!!! Latest report = Winds 155, Gusts 190 Knots!!!!! Be aware that this will now be tremendous EARTHQUAKE ENERGY!!!!! 8+ Richters Magnitude is possible immediately and I will update with the names of some exact places as soon as the landfall of Megi is underway, this typhoon will also most likely go on to make a major landfall at Hong Kong or whatever region of the mainland it strikes at and could now possibly mean a major shaker on our West Coast!!! Super Typhoon Megi is like 450 Miles Northeast of Manila and looks like it will make landfall somewhere as a major windstorm in the coming hours! May Still Be Some Random Earthquake Energy! And I'm in the Preview for that movie!!!!!

I'm writing today to say that over the past several weeks there have been several tiny windstorms that have done a real minimum amount of damage while producing a lot of rain!!! As a general rule I do not routinely track this sort of earthquake energy especially since they produce small earthquakes that only do a minimal amount of damage and rarely any injuries, i excel at much, much larger earthquakes where there is real danger in peoples futures!!! In the meantime I went to the new movie this weekend "Social Network" and saw MYSELF in the Previews!!!!! Yes, the preview for the new Ron Howard movie that you may be aware I worked on this summer showed in the theatre prior to "Social Network" and it is now titled "The Dilemma."

HIS LINE IN THIS SHOT IS "HEY, LOOK WE'RE UP ON THE JUMBOTRON!!!!!"
In the part that shows in the Preview Kevin James (From Mall Cop) is on the Jumbotron and I'm seated behind him to the right in my Chicago Blackhawks shirt!!! And the movie "Social Network" is a pretty good movie, too!!! EQ Guy

Hurricane Karl has been dramatically upgraded to a Category 3 Hurricane with winds of 120 mph and gusts probably around 135. As of this hour it has changed direction and is currently headed near Southwest, and is making landfall at Veracruz, Mexico. Immediate EQ Alerts for a Major Earthquake at Manzanillo, Tecoman, Mexico City, Ciudad Lazaro Cardenas, Guatemala, San Salvador, Managua and Nicaragua, and it will only be a matter of hours before a Major Earthquake as large as 7.9 Richters Magnitude will strike. This kind of earthquake energy might also include major landslides, tsunamis where offshore shakers occur, and perhaps a volcano eruption. This hurricane intensified very quickly just in recent hours and this is a very short notice especially for folks in the path of this very destructive hurricane that will do major damage and generate major earthquake energies. We should begin watching and preparing immediately.

Major EQ Alert!!!!! East Coast, Illinois, Baja California, etc.!!!

To rush this alert I need to note that I am literally skipping a few smaller earthquake alerts that apply to other areas because the major earthquake energy to come will probably be extremely critical!!!!! My experience with Major Hurricanes out along the East Coast is that shaking will begin at any moment and I want to state that some of the major areas out east may want to be aware that along with Hurricane Earl there could also be some shaking. Depending on what direction Earl is headed when it hits shallow water or makes landfall altogether an earthquake could strike anywhere from Richmond, Virginia up through Pittsburgh to Ottawa, Canada. While we probably aren’t talking about anything bigger than 6 Richters be aware that one of these could still hit 5 Richters, or maybe even 5.3 Richters Magnitude with Cities like Boston and NYC pretty much already aware that they get earthquakes. Everybody be watching just incase Hurricane Earl decides to make a major landfall somewhere along its path like Hurricane Isabel did on September 18, 2003 at 105 mph followed a few days by a MAJOR EARTHQUAKE of 8.3 Richters at Hokkaido, Japan on September 25. Earthquakes!!!!! Hurricane Earl Strikes Puerto Rico!!! 135mph winds!!! Earthquake Strikes Chicago!!!

Yes, while Hurricane Earl is striking the Carribean Islands and hit Puerto Rico with 135 mph winds, there is a major volcano now going off in Indonesia and they had a 2.7 Richters Earthquake practically right in Downtown Chicago at 1pm this afternoon, actually nearer Downtown LaGrange!!! As of this writing we might want to just basically watch everywhere, like I would have said Illinois anyways, and wait to see what Hurricane Earl is going to do out along our East Coast! But remember, we are now talking about a huge Category 4 Hurricane and I am hearing that it is very possible that it WILL make landfall somewhere along the East Coast of the United States!!!!! Watch Hurricane Earl closely and be aware that there are plenty more earthquakes where todays Chicago shaker and the Indonesia Volcano came from!!! There is now a lot of new earthquake energy out there, so watch out California, West Coast, and etc.!!!!! EQ Alert Guy

New Alert Coming!!!!! Start Watching for Major Earthquakes Right Now!

There is a Hurricane about to strike the islands off the coast of Florida such as Puerto Rico, etc. The winds are quite high enough that earthquake energy will be generated out there and will immediately begin to push against the North American Tectonic Plate!!! This might also be the first time a huge storm has threatened to rattle Haiti and storms seem to have earthquakes shaking underneath of them somewhat commonly, especially California. For now everyone be aware that this huge windstorm WILL produce earthquake energy and I will update with more exact information as soon as these enormous winds contact land somewhere. Earthquake Biz Should Be Slowing Down for now!!!

I know many of you have been following me a long time, but for those who have just started more recently like this year, there are times when only minor earthquake energy is present and I am writing now to say that. Tomorrow will be 51 days since Hurricane Alex made landfall at Mexico and since then I only have one small tropical storm making landfall at South Korea with only minor wind speeds. Of course higher wind speeds and it would have been a typhoon anyways. Plus one tornado that struck a farmstead but in all events neither of those is likely to create a major earthquake in California!!!!! At one time I would announce an "All Clear" but since there is always the chance of something just shaking out of the blue, I will not issue an All Clear per se. Moreover, I am just telling anyone who reads my EQ Blog regularly that right at the moment I will not be expecting any Major Earthquakes to strike. Pessimists may wish to note that there still remain about another 10 days to reach the maximum number of days that quakes have a history of following hurricanes. Finally, also always be aware that even the smallest of earthquakes such as those that follow Santa Ana winds of California, could possibly shake loose a serious earthquake event, but it's very rare!

Until then, mostly keep watching for the next hurricane or typhoon which could happen at any moment and be very quickly followed by a major earthquake. But there's really nothing like that even happening anyways so the term I use is, "Like calm water on a pond in the middle of the summer, no waves at all. . . nothing."
