Landfall of Hurricane Sandra at Mexico will mean some more Earthquakes striking around the Mid-West, although we are right now currently watching there for that 5.3 Kokomo, Indiana or "Illinois/Indiana" Earthquake that should be striking around Tuesday or Wednesday this week. So, for now the most this new alert for that region is going to do is just increase the likelihood of one in that region. ALSO there will be Earthquakes right there in that immediate area where the landfall took place and right there around Socorro Island, too.
It's also possible that there could have been some shaking at Burma that followed those two big 7.6 Richters Shakers at Peru/Brazil on Wednesday because here's a couple that showed up on Friday Morning there:

4.9 And 4.7 Strike Near Yemen!!! Several Earthquakes Struck New Madrid Region!!! In That November Full Moon Window! UPDATE: Another Edition of "Earthquake Minute"!!

The November Full Moon Window will end at 4:45pm Central Time on Thursday and even if I add a couple hours to that time for extra measure it is still over by time you read this blog. Really big news from the Full Moon Wndow was the shaking that took place at the New Madrid Region yesterday. . . or would that be two days ago Friday Time? In any event here is the giant sized list of earthquakes that if I really think about it, could be the 5 Richters Earthquake we were watching for in that region and that could also be release of ALL the Earthquake Energy there was!!! OR. . . it could also be a sign that much Earthquake Energy is in the neighborhood and that we should continue watching for a 5 to 7 Magnitude shaker along that line. In any event it does mean there's probably more earthquakes coming and surely for at least Quebec or Iceland, if not more for Illinois and Indiana! Of course the reason I'm posting those two and discussing all this today is due to the fact that Yemen is the location of the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Chappala on November 2, and very near those two epicenters at Socotra Island was the landfall of Cyclone Meg on November 8. Chappala had winds of 132mph, and gusts of 160, while Meg had winds of 100mph, and gusts of 125mph! So, we did indeed know we were talking about some serious upcoming Major Earthquake Energy but at that point it sort of still remains a theory. . . now it's not so much a theory as the 4.9 and 4.7 sort of tell you we are really looking at some earthquakes also to come for Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Sudan, Libya, and Lima Peru. Cyclone Meg was also the big windstorm that brought with it the swarm that struck Indonesia simultaneously with landfall at Socotra Island and Day 21 after that landfall will be on November 29 so watch all those places!

7.6 Richters Earthquakes Strikes North Of Arica, Chile!!! Inside Full Moon Window! WATCH For More Earthquakes!!!
Chalk another one up for the EQ Guy on a recent edition of "Earthquake Minute" because I was saying Arica Chile and also saying 7.6 Richters and they actually got TWO earthquakes both 7.6 Richters about 5 minutes apart! So be watching Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Quebec, and Iceland for the 5 to 7 Richters because the exact moment of the full moon will be around 4:45pm Central Time today! Full Moon Window will continue on through Thursday, too, so there could be more shaking to come!
Here is how the wording for the prediction that I made went: "Arica, Chile or VERY near there, has a 7.6 Richters Earthquake coming ON November 18th!!! I don’t see why this one would wait for the full moon on November 27 so I moved up that date!!!" Well, if I had waited for the full moon instead. . . this prediction might have fell within a DAY! However since I picked Day 33 to go along with the show that prediction was originally featured on, we're now looking at a few days off there! 6 to be exact, along with 500 miles! BEST News of all today is that MAGNITUDE!!! Exactly RIGHT!!! Happens and has happened before, too, so am always glad just a little at least to get them exact, albeit at the mercy of large earthquakes actually striking and am always sorry for that part of the job you know. Big earthquake was reported to have shook Mexico City and so I went back and double-checked and found this 5.5 yesterday and abbreviated the felt report with most of it right here. 4.4 Bolivia, 4.9 Peru, 4.8 Chile!!! Full Moon Coming Next!!! AND: Me on Milwaukee Radio Sunday Night!!!
I've been very busy over this weekend since Milwaukee Radio called me in the final minutes of my show in Madison on Friday, and so as the result of that I spent the whole weekend preparing for the biggest moment of my life. . . On-The-Air in Milwaukee Radio!!! It will take me some time to get all that information together and have a story for you all here, but for now let's catch up on all that is going on with earthquakes! Seems to be a lot shaking around Antofagasta, Chile where we are watching for the next Major Earthquake Tsunami and I just now pasted the Bolivia Earthquake at the top of this list and they may not all be in chronological order today either but it's still looking like a lot of them just the same:

As always can happen, when I say Antofagasta this Major Earthquake can still travel far up into those mountains there and Bolivia is kind of far up into those mountains there, too! So, while we might expect the big one to be more like Antofagasta or Offshore there and a real big one, remember it can strike instead all the way up those mountains just about anywhere and Antofagasta is more less just my own personal GUESS as to where the epicenter might strike! Watch all those places along that line because this could still be a Major Earthquake. Also if they keep getting 4's and 5's in that region it could EQUAL the same amount of push against the tectonic plate as a 7 or 8 might have done in one shot!
Next, let's introduce the November Full Moon Window this week with the exact moment of the Full Moon on November 25 at 4:45pm Central Time, Window will start on Tuesday at 4:45pm or starting about anytime on Tuesday and this will increase everything that is happening and that we are watching for, too!

We'll need to especially watch there during November 2015 Full Moon Window!!! EQ Guy

5.0 Nepal Earthquake Strikes Near Kathmandu! 4.7 Richters Oklahoma With a Big Felt Report, Too!!! And "Earthquake Minute"???
Lots of earthquake stuff going on including the fact that this 5.0 Nepal Earthquake Struck Near Kathmandu! There could continue to be some more shakers in that region and just checking the final date on all the alerts for Nepal is coming up on December 13 when it should quiet down once and for all. Or at least until the next big alert heads up there in that direction, here's the now updated felt report and I just now added that last one since a felt report has come in now from India:

So, it's been a while since I checked in at the local Radio Station where I've been working for going on 2 years now, and tough to tell what all has been transpiring there. Probably still a chance that there'll be a small timeslot available for my usual "Earthquake Minute" Radio Show. . . but so long since I've actually set foot inside the building there due to being TERRIBLY BUSY with now "Chicago Fire" and new show "Chicago Med" that I'm not even sure anyone will even recognize me when I walk in through the door there!!! Therefor it remains to be a scene whether they'll have vague memories of my alter-ego role as "EQ Guy" and unknown if even the slightest chance exists of having this weeks "Earthquake Minute" actually hit the airwaves! 7.0 Solomon Islands, Also 4.0 Richters Earthquake Strikes 166 Miles South Southwest of Warsaw, Poland
Does look like something going on out there in those Solomon Islands, but right now the one that looks the most serious to me is the 4.0 Poland Earthquake due to the fact that it's directly along the line where we are watching for a big 7 Magnitude Earthquake up there around those countries that include Hungary, Romania, and Austria along with many others where a Major Earthquake could be overdue! Here is the now updated felt report from the 4.0 Richters Earthquake 166 Miles South Southwest of Warsaw, Poland:

So, in addition to the line from the result of the Hurricane landfall at Mexico on October 23, the line from Chappala-Yemen crosses very near that region, and Meg-Socotra Island crosses Africa but there is some question where it crosses those shaky tectonic plate boundaries and all of that from any or all those big windstorms could be factors in a 7 Magnitude Earthquake striking Hungary or any of those countries! Checking it also looks like Super Typhoon Koppu-Luzon is probably also still out there with the final date on that one extending all the way out to December 15 at least! So lots of stuff still out there waiting to shake. . . Major Earthquake Season is a LONG way from being over!!! EQ Guy

3.4 And 2.4 Fontana, And 4.6 Just Struck Arica, Chile!!! ALSO: 6.5 Richters Strikes Islands of Greece With Lots of Damage!!!
Just as this EQ Blog was about to go to press, there was a whole series of new earthquakes that struck around Southern California and so instead of writing my usual stuff like this blog might have contained, I've been waiting for the most updated felt report to come in so that we could see where all this earthquake was felt. As of this writing it doesn't look like ANY felt reports are coming in from Los Angeles, but I wish I could say that is an indication that they are out of the woods on all this! Unfortunatley it doesn't say that. . . and we might still have to watch all around L.A. until all this shaking runs its course. As far as I know there isn't even any alert for L.A. if that matters to anyone, and there was actually TWO earthquakes at Fontana with the other being a 2.4 and seeing as how they are only about half a minute apart I'm mostly just referencing the 3.4 such as here in the felt report at Earthquake Central@ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2015/11/34-richters-earthquake-strikes-near.html
Looks like space might permit the entire updated list of those Fontana Earthquakes right here and note they've been given the name "Devore" nearby town where all the freeways meet and head up to Cajon Pass and Barstow, etc., here's that list then we'll continue:

One final item today and this one ALSO just comes in as I'm writing this and reminds me to mention that I notice there has just been or seems to now be a string of events that seem to keep right on coming in at press deadline and my appologies for sending out this EQ Blog, as well as several of the other recent ones and then waking up in the middle of the night with phone ringing. . . and MORE earthquakes!!! Generally I'm able to do a great job of keeping up with everything that's going on such as the phone will ring at 5 O'Clock in the afternoon or 9 O'Clock at night and I'll quick jot it all down and have a descent EQ Blog a going for tomorrow! Not so with about the last week or two, no! Been all coming in at 2 and 3 in the morning and I have to then make a decision how to treat them on the basis of if they are big enough sometimes even to warrant their own edition of EQ Blog or blog entry, or not. So sorry if I sometimes only add a tastefull update to an already published EQ Blog entry and save the write-up for the following day especially in the case of one that might be big enough to mention in an update. . . but not big enough to get it's own write-up!
So, there has been a 4.6 Richters Earthquake 93 Miles Southeast of Arica, Chile and now that I think of it November 18 is the date that I gave in the prediction for Arica, Chile so there's a fairly good chance that 4.6 and the 4.5 yesterday could be foreshocks and today is the day at least according to the one particular prediction that I gave on this weeks "Earthquake Minute" which there is still a link for you to check out at the end of todays EQ Blog, or right now! California And Nevada Both Shaking Back And Forth At The Same Time!!! UPDATE: 6.5 Greece!!! Big Earthquake There!!!
UPDATE: There has been a rather large earthquake at Islands of Greece although just offshore from Mainland, much damage and so far 2 deaths! NOW Todays previously written EQ Blog:

There was like one additional small earthquake that shook at that epicenter where all the Japan activity was shaking over the weekend, and it's sort of surprising that it all ended so abruptly, too! One might expect that could mean there is about to be a big one shaking somewhere and I continue to wait with my phone set to ring as loud as it goes!!! Where will it strike and Japan is NOT one of those places where we're watching, either:

6.7 Richters Strikes Offshore South of Japan!!! Now Many Aftershocks!!! ALSO: 4.5 Arica, Chile, 5.9 Grand Cayman Islands, AND Video Version of "Earthquake Minute"!!!
Too late for press time on Fridays EQ Blog, my phone rang, rang, rang with first a 7.0 Japan, and next it rang with the discussion about a possible tsunami although it ended up not being a "Pacific Wide" Tsunami in any event, but they have since said a one-footer was measured locally, and finally a couple more rings of my phone and it was downgraded, then upgraded and today it remains exactly at the latest updated number or 6.7 now at the top of the following list because I inverted them with the first one now at the top:

Since there is actually nothing headed directly for Japan, I want to add that ALL of this here movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate COULD be what we are currently watching for to strike either at Arica, Chile, or that big Illinois/Indiana Earthquake that's coming and possibly for something major at Iceland, too! Yes, this was NOT even an alert for Japan so rest assurred it will later become a big foreshock or series of foreshocks. . . for the Grand Finale!!! Some of these other earthquakes that came in just around Midnight on Sunday Night are also worth mentioning, but weren't right at the time worth re-writing any of the lead-paragraphs prior to my Monday Morning deadline and the biggest one as far as my own opinoin is concerned would be the 4.5 Richters earthquake that struck just a few miles east of Arica, Chile!!!
You can see the name of the town Arica all the way at the top of this pic just off to the left over there at the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean. You can also see by the "Scale of Miles" that it's actually way closer to the epicenter than the USGS description seems to say for whatever reason? Possibly because the scale of miles is a general description or I suppose it's also possible that the USGS takes a much broader measurement based on more than just the city limits of that town, or maybe the star on the map isn't exactly accurate, too.
There was also a big 5.9 Richters Earthquake that struck near Grand Cayman Island and it sort of looks like it could be either the line that is running east from the landfall of Hurricane Pat at Mexico, or the line running east beyond Arica, Chile and since the Grand Cayman Island Earthquake struck BEFORE Arica, it tells me I might be right about that theory!!! So keep watching Arica, Chile for that 7.6 Richters Earthquake that I think I predicted for this week!!! EQ Guy

5.0 And 4.5 Richters Earthquakes Strike Peru Already!!! Big Alert There Will Continue!!! ALSO Watch Chicago Region!!! Earthquake Minute Friday!!! UPDATE: 3.0 Fontana, California!!!
UPDATE: There were actually 2 earthquakes listed that struck Fontana, California in the early hours of Friday, with first that 3.0 at 3:32am Pacific Time, followed by a 2.1 at 4:04 am Pacific Time, and here's the felt report from the 3.0 Richters Shaker@ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2015/11/35-richters-earthquake-strikes-fontana.html NOW Fridays EQ Blog:
Just got done watching some Buster Keaton and D.W. Griffith and when I clicked on the list of latest earthquakes I was very surprised at the size of the big red dot marking what looked to be far Northern Chile. . . but upon close examination I can now tell you that it was TWO Big Earthquakes both at Peru!!! 5 and 4.5 Richters with the closest to Lima being something like 225 miles with one far north and the other up in the mountains there. The alert for Lima, not sure if it's been published here, yet, runs quite long into December and possibly into January 2016 so a couple small ones such as that aren't going to make a lot of difference that big alert is surely going to continue as well as a big one for Arica, Chile that I was just about to go into, here, why don't I do that right now.
I want all of you who would normally just be gathering around the radio later on today for the show. . . to not pay much attention to this part here! Mostly I'm running it due to such things as those two big ones that just shook there and the chance something more serious like that could happen over the weekend like while I might be out back raking leaves or something. So, anyways my point is that on the show I will be going into the fact that Arica, Chile or VERY near there, has a 7.6 Richters Earthquake coming one of these days very soon and I am considering giving the date for that one as November 18th, 2015. Keeping in mind that the date I might give you is just a week or so BEFORE the next big full moon window, but I'm getting a really anxious feeling that this one could be very serious as well as the next one so I'm going with the Day 33 instead of waiting an extra week for Day 43. . . albeit a day that's been getting a LOT of action!!!
As of this writing, I will go ahead and tell you my regular readers that it's looking quite a lot like we should now be expecting something in the area of 5.2 Richters for Kokomo, Indiana on or about November 31. Additionally this alert will now be in affect for the Illinois and Indiana Region and into Missouri and Oklahoma. So continue to watch Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas and ALL of the Chicago Region, Including Indiana!!! I want to repeat the fact that it is VERY RARE that a line goes DIRECTLY through those parts and all of those regions such as Chicago, Hammond, Elgin, and the southern portions of Illinois and Indiana get Earthquakes, too, so let us watch all those places very closely in the coming days because we more or less know there's an earthquake coming for them!

TWO 6.9 Richter Earthquakes Struck Chile 52 Minutes Apart!!! November New Moon Window Continues!!!
I was trying to figure out how many minutes before the exact moment of the New Moon all of these two 6.9 Richter Chile Earthquakes happened, but it looks more like about 12 hours due to there being two earthquakes we're talking about and only one exact moment. That's 12 hours before the exact moment and WELL within the November New Moon Window:

4.8 271km W of Neiafu, Tonga 2015-11-11 11:47:30 Central Time
Looks sort of like it was hardly one minute off there. The exact moment was 11:48 and this one shook at 11:47 and a few seconds which I could actually go and check the difference between them for the number of seconds, but for now let's just say one minute before the exact moment for that one there.
So, I went and checked and found out that with regards to the TWO 6.9 Richters Chile Earthquakes and we've been sort of watching that region of Antofagasta which was only a few miles to the north, with regards to that alert the two 6.9's struck on Day 43 after landfall of Typhoon Dujuan at Taiwan! Now the other one in that series was the 7.7 Afghanistan that I might have mentioned I'd usually expect to strike after Chile, but also should mention that Chile has shook before on the full/new moon!!! That being quite a lot of Earthquake Energy released, I think we should now start watching much farther north towards Arica, Chile, and Lima Peru and I'll have both of those informations on Fridays "Earthquake Minute"
Speaking of Quebec, and I did speak of it there on last weeks show, there was also a 2.1 that struck just a mile or two from Downtown Quebec! Here's that report with just one city, but 7 reports and of course that city it none other than:

November New Moon Window Starts NOW!!! Expect All Heck To Break Loose!!! 6.2 Richters Alaska Islands Already!!!
Big 6.2 just now showed up in the Alaska Islands 1000 miles South Southwest of Anchorage and it now looks like the time on that one was about 10am Monday Morning Central Standard Time, but just now as I compose Tuesdays EQ Blog it looks like it's among the biggest stories that we'll be looking at right here and now with NOVEMBER NEW MOON only making things such as Alaska shaking that much worse!!! So, now the November New Moon Window Starts 11:48am Central Time Today, Tuesday, Nov. 10 and 9:48am Pacific Time. Exact Moment of New Moon will then be on Wednesday at 11:48am, Central Time and then 9:48am Pacific and that's if my brand-new conversions into "Standard Time" have worked out correctly because I won't be sure for a while if I should be subtracting 5 hours, or 6 hours for Central or how many for Pacific, but usually two more after I would subtract either 5 or 6 depending there, you know. Then, as a general rule we're usually adding a couple hours for extra measure to the beginning and end of the New Moon Window, so 11am and 9 am become something like 8:30am and 6:45am give or take a few moments there because I didn't take the time to do all the math if you know what I mean!
The big Landfall at Yemen of Cyclone Meg DID NOT happen!!! We had been watching there ever so closely and it looks like as it approached the shoreline there, there was just about nothing left of the once huge windstorm to speak of so we'll leave it at that as far as Meg/Yemen is concerned. But, don't forget it already made landfall at Socotra Island, and there already had been another big windstorm landfall at Yemen so we've plenty to watch for there! Meg/Socotra Island might affect Sudan, Libya, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Kirabati, and the Lake Tanganyika Region. The main focus on that alert will mostly be Sumatra, Malaysia, and Lima Peru! I'll try to get still another exact prediction for Peru as soon as possible, too, along with more exact info on Arica, Chile as I know I have promised.
The more I looked at that rather huge felt report from the 2.8 New Madrid Earthquake and I have now had some time to think about WHY Highland Park, Illinois and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania apparently both felt it, too, I want to guess it could have something to do with that big alert for all of that region. In laymans terms it doesn't exactly explain all those felt reports from 600 and 900 miles away, but it does seem to be telling us there could still easily be a 5 to 7 Richters Major Earthquake to follow or that all of the Major Earthquake Energy we've been watching for could be passing and in the course it is already being felt in the Chicago Region as well as Pittsburgh both directly along the path there! There's surely much more to come, there!!! Especially watch throughout the November New Moon Window, too!!! EQ Guy

Looking Like a BIG Landfall of Cyclone Meg at Socotra Island!!! ALSO Looks Like It Might Be Causing Indonesia To Shake Immediately!!!?
Hello, there has been quite a lot of the type of shakers that ring, ring, ring my phone. . . but not any that required an update over the weekend so all in all it hasn't been too bad as far as any serious earthquakes are concerned although a lot of the little swarm type earthquakes and they might all together be indicating something could be about ready to let loose somewhere, too!!! My biggest concern right this moment is all the shaking at Indonesia and very near Banda Aceh, too! This is all happening at the SAME EXACT MOMENT as the landfall of Cyclone Meg at Socotra Island, not to be confused as I did confuse it. . . with Socorro Island off shore of Mexico! Nevermind the confusion, Socotra Island is in the far west Bay of Bengal and big enough that it took at least a good hour or two for 100 mile per hour winds to cross all the way across it and unfortunately that would normally mean to watch for earthquakes somewhere, but on this particular day it appears Indonesia DID SHAKE immediately as the big windstorm raked across that island approximately straight across from it at that northern region of the Indio/Aust. Tectonic Plate! Not entirely unheard of, but could also mean somebody else might be shaking VERY SOON over in that region, too! New Zealand, Japan, or perhaps the Pacific will be next along that straight line and hopefully it will give me an extra day or so to check out before it lets loose say at San Francisco! I do have to report as you might have heard in "Earthquake Minute" that I will probably have another prediction for Chile coming soon but for now know there IS something like 7 or 8 headed for them and we may be talking tsunami, too! 3.5 Richters Earthquake Strikes San Fernando Valley!!! ALSO: 5.5 Richters Strikes Out There In Islands Of Alaska Region
Lots of news stories posted by all the L.A. News outlets concerning the fact that this 3.5 Richters Earthquake struck at a rather shallow 1.5 miles which I suppose might explain the wide, wide felt report practically all over Southern California and I was even expecting Ventura County to show up in the list but as of this writing not a lot west of the Valley and it looks like Malibu and Santa Monica aren't even on the list, but pretty much everybody else is, here's the list of the big 3.5 and the few aftershocks there followed by the felt report:

Phone was actually ringing or chiming in the pocket of my blue-jean jacket as I was running through my local "Big Box" store picking me up some oil change kit stuff and as I hoped quietly for it to be a garden variety shaker, I opened the screen to see 5.5 oh. . .but then I spotted Alaska and could only wonder if it was bad or how big? Well, so far as of this writing here is that 5.5 Richters Earthquake and one aftershock but this just happened hours ago so expect more aftershocks from this series of medium sized earthquakes that struck 960 Miles West of Anchorage out there in the Fox Islands Region according to the map that I just looked at to get that mileage, here's the list:

This one just came in about an hour ago, a 4.1 Richters Shaker struck 50 or so miles north of Monaco, France and felt reports from that one will take some time, so for now just be watching that region such as probably Germany, Finland, Ukraine, Spain, etc. for more earthquakes. . . because they do get them up there in that region!
Good possibility there will be another exciting new edition of "Earthquake Minute" on Friday. . . but you'll have to tune-in between 4:15 and 4:30pm Central Standard Time to find out!!! 6.3 Richters Earthquake Strikes East Timor!!! Big Giant "Gash" Opens Up In Ground Up In Wyoming!!! UPDATE: 3.5 Richters Earthquake Strikes San Fernando Valley!!!
UPDATE: There was a 3.5 Richters Earthquake that shook the San Fernando Valley in the middle of the night at around 2:58am Pacific Time. Huge felt report from all over Southern California including Palmdale, Azusa, Catalina Island, and San Diego! There's the big one I mention in todays headline, right there around the middle of the list at 6.3 Richters and I now notice there were actually a few "Foreshocks" that began a few hours before the 6.3 and one struck that location a couple days before, too!

Then there is the story you might have heard, about the big "Gash" up there in Wyoming where the ground all of the sudden opened up the size of a football field and a hundred or so feet deep with several huge islands just standing alone out there in the middle of this huge gap that happened as a result of the ground opening up out near Sheridan, Wyoming. Here's at least one story on that subject, although there's now plenty of stories on the subject! It sort of looks like a "Mini-Grand Canyon"!!!
Haven't actually spent a real lot of time trying to figure out how that gash could have happened. I'm thinking ground dried up and contracted enough that it broke free and shrank in that manner, but they are making it sound more like it was some sort of geological thing.
There was also a 2.6 Richters Earthquake that struck 53 Miles West of Richmond, Virginia out there around the usual epicentral region, and with tons of felt reports but they do not reach all the way to Richmond and as of this writing none from Washington, DC and this shaker does not appear to be along the line that we are watching very closely along, either, in fact I am currently working on those town names and will be giving them out on this weeks "Earthquake Minute" if you all don't mind waiting until Friday:))) Thank-You for your patience, but there hasn't been too much else going on and so I thought I'd just wait and save all that until Fridays Show!!! There's the big one I mention in todays headline, right there around the middle of the list at 6.3 Richters and I now notice there were actually a few "Foreshocks" that began a few hours before the 6.3 and one struck that location a couple days before, too!

Then there is the story you might have heard, about the big "Gash" up there in Wyoming where the ground all of the sudden opened up the size of a football field and a hundred or so feet deep with several huge islands just standing alone out there in the middle of this huge gap that happened as a result of the ground opening up out near Sheridan, Wyoming. Here's at least one story on that subject, although there's now plenty of stories on the subject! It sort of looks like a "Mini-Grand Canyon"!!!
Haven't actually spent a real lot of time trying to figure out how that gash could have happened. I'm thinking ground dried up and contracted enough that it broke free and shrank in that manner, but they are making it sound more like it was some sort of geological thing.
There was also a 2.6 Richters Earthquake that struck 53 Miles West of Richmond, Virginia out there around the usual epicentral region, and with tons of felt reports but they do not reach all the way to Richmond and as of this writing none from Washington, DC and this shaker does not appear to be along the line that we are watching very closely along, either, in fact I am currently working on those town names and will be giving them out on this weeks "Earthquake Minute" if you all don't mind waiting until Friday:))) Thank-You for your patience, but there hasn't been too much else going on and so I thought I'd just wait and save all that until Fridays Show!!! 4.1 And 4.0 Phoenix, Arizona, And 3.0 Needles Earthquakes Shake Cal-Nev-Ari Region!!! 5.9 Alaska Islands! AND Landfall of Cat-4 Tropical Cyclone Chapala At Yemen!!!
It's been a while since Arizona came up on the list of latest earthquakes in those bright red letters, and when I zoomed-in on the dot on the map there, I could notice a couple others in that region, too! In fact I did not actually notice that there had been two at the Arizona Epicenter until two of them came up as happens when there is more than one at a very specific epicenter, then it will show two or sometimes even more on the list and occasionally even looking like just one dot on the map! Well, that's what happened today and there was also a 3.0 at Needles, California officially making this a "Cal-Nev-Ari" Shaker!!! Or series of shakers, if you will, because the first at 4.1 shook at 10:29pm Pacific, the second a 4.0 shook at 10:49pm Pacific, and Needles at 3.0 shook at 10:50. . . so you might imagine there was probably a few people in the middle there who kept on shaking, and shaking, and shaking for the better part of the night actually Sunday Night, although they came up as very early morning hours of Monday in the Central Standard Time Zone for me. Scrolling up and down through them I didn't seem to notice anything above that initial 5.9 and as of this writing that remains the largest and also the only one that sent me an E-Mail which if there had been lots more that size, I'd have gotten many more E-Mails there, too! Landfall of Category-4 Tropical Cyclone Chapala at Yemen is not only creating somewhat of a stir there, but must also be generating a whole lot of more brand-new Major Earthquake Energy for someone, and I had even thought it could be connected to all the earthquakes shaking up there in Alaska, but it just doesn't quite seem like even BEFORE the landfall which is basically just now taking place as I'm writing this, nor the big storm passing an island or two in the bay of Yemen couldn't exactly do the 5.9 and all that. That leaves Dujuan and Koppu and both are upwards of 175 mph storms with at least gusts that big and big enough that we KNOW there's all that Earthquake Energy still out there!!! EQ Guy

6.0 Richters Earthquake Strikes 100 Miles East of Antofagasta, Chile!!! KEEP WATCHING Antofagasta, Chile For 7.7 With Tsunami For A While, Yet!!!
Like I said when the 4.8 struck Antofagasta last week, we know there's more coming and there was also a 4.6 Galapagos TPJ, and a 4.9 Easter Island Earthquake showing earthquake energy running all around that region! Here's the Felt Report with the second name on the list being Antofagasta!!! Quite a lot of reports as the earthquakes might be getting bigger there!!!

There has been some action over the weekend at the San Ramon Swarm near San Francisco-Oakland and that list is now moved and you can view it @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2015/11/san-ramon-swarm-near-san-francisco.html THERE is also a link to the continued lists that have been going on there during and before the October Full Moon.
There has also been a 5.3 Richters Earthquake 140 Miles North of Wellington, New Zealand and also sort of along that line of Major Earthquake Energy that we will be watching along very closely in the coming days and throughout the month of November. This particular earthquake doesn't look like it was felt in either of Auckland, or Christchurch, but just the same as of this writing New Zealand "GeoNet" has a whopping total of 3940 Felt Reports!!! USGS has several felt reports from that region and even 1 from Wellington.
For now be watching Antofagasta, Chile, and along that line discussed in "Earthquake Minute" or New Madrid, Missouri, and Illinois/Indiana/Quebec/Iceland!!! EQ Guy
