31 Dead So Far in Volcano Eruption At Japan!!! LOTS of Continuing Earthquake Energy!!!

4.7 Richters Strikes 55 Miles East of Monterey, California!!! Mammoth Lakes Swarm CONTINUES!!!

We should continue to watch for that earthquake in the range of 7.6 Richters around California and possibly a good aftershock up in Alaska, but it could be very near Anchorage and be quite the earthquake, too! Although it should not go too much beyond my guess of 7.6 Richters, I never actually figured out for sure how some of the 9 Richters Earthquakes come about.

Didn't know what to think when my phone rang with a town called Dos Palos, California and so proceeded the rest of Sunday wondering. Now I can tell you it is the epicenter of the 4.67 downgraded to 4.4 out along the San Andreas Fault due east of Monterrey. There have now been several aftershocks and it looks like that very first one actually struck there like an hour before the biggest one of this series:

So, the now enormous swarm is continuing at Mammoth Lakes and did eventually lead to that 4.7 at Dos Palos which happens to be directly along "Line T-M-E-A" and would you look at all of them earthquakes at Mammoth Lakes just from the last 24 hours!!! I seen where the anniversary of the landfall of Hurricane Hugo at Charleston was 10 Years ago and so I automatically knew right away that the Anniversary of Loma Prieta Earthquake is coming, too on October 17, 2014 it will be the 25 Year Anniversary of that Major Earthquake and that was when I also discovered, and actually already knew from the date coming up anyways, that Sunday was the 10 Year Anniversary of the Parkfield 2004 Earthquake!!!!! That was on September 28, 2004. Looks like we might be adding a day to this sorry list here at any moment, but what day will that be? Keep Watching for that Major Earthquake and we will see!!! Several small shakers have now struck around San Francisco and as you probably know from keeping up with this EQ Blog. . . Napa, California!!! There were also two other earthquakes right there in that San Francisco area on Friday, a 2.0 and 2.5 at Diablo and Clayton, California, which otherwise could be considered garden variety, but since we are dealing with a highly unusual amount of major shaking going on at Mammoth Lakes we will now need to ESPECIALLY Watch San Francisco of course along with that shaky Anchorage area where they had the 6.2 this week!

There is something going on out there with Mammoth Lakes now up to 172 Pages of earthquakes and far beyond my ability to cut, paste and edit for viewing here. You will need to watch over this weekend because it seems very likely someone could get a Major Earthquake and I mostly want to watch California, West Coast and Alaska, but Western Canada, Mexico, Central America, etc. could all be vulnerable here so we should watch areas such as that, too! I notice I didn't mention Hawaii and Japan both near this activity. . . but the bigger picture is that this movement of those tectonic plates so close to the plate boundaries could affect just about anybody all around the Pacific, so just be watching for a Major Earthquake this weekend, and be prepared!!! 6.2 Richters Near Anchorage!!! MANY More Major Earthquakes Could Still Follow, Keep Watching!!! UPDATE Lots of Big Shakers Continues At Mammoth Lakes!!!

It was yesterday I was writing that we need to keep a watching for earthquakes beyond the September New Moon Window and this one struck right around the amount of time I said to keep watching through or "Well Into Thursday" just saying. A few of the felt reports from yesterdays 6.2 Richters Earthquake 80 miles Northwest of Anchorage are 700 reports from Anchorage, 75 from Fairbanks, and 89 from Wasilla and here is the entire report at Earthquake Central: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/09/62-richters-near-anchorage-alaska-felt.html

You might want to see what I had written about Anchorage in this Official Prediction: http://earthquakealert3.blogspot.com/2014/09/official-prediction-for-76-richters.html AND as most of you already know Anchorage remains a high chance for Major Aftershocks and while I have given some thought to a bigger one still striking there, I do not see any reason they should have more of a chance of that happening than any other place.

Did just now notice as I was writing that they do NOT seem to have had any aftershocks and that COULD mean there is a huge one coming!!! Then again that is just the rule that instead of a lot of small aftershocks. . . the movement is becoming stored energy and might decide to release just whenever!!! I do have the sum total here at 7.6 and so do keep watching now including Alaska for a lot of earthquake energy to be released because it is probable there is plenty more out there!!! And Mammoth Lakes keeps moving, too, with 3.8 and 3.9 Richters ringing my phone moments before I wrote this blog!!! I tell you something is about to shake big time around California!!! Maybe more at Alaska, too!!!

And also keep an eye on California due to the fact that one possibility is that the combination of the two from Wednesday or 5.5 and 5.1 Pakistan and the 6.2 Anchorage could both be situated along that exact line and San Francisco-Napa might be next directly along that line!!! Landers and Parkfield are for sure so we need to keep watching California for 7.6 Richters and be prepared!!! EQ Guy

5.5 And 5.1 At Pakistan In New Moon Window, So Keep Watching!!! UPDATE: Mammoth Lakes Swarm Continues!!!

That Mammoth Lakes Swarm has really taken off as of early today with several in the 2.5 Range around 10 and 11am Central Time, WATCH For Serious Shaking, California @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/09/september-new-moon-mammoth-lakes-swarm.html NOW Todays EQ Blog:

I went all through my records looking for those connections to Pakistan that I recall talking about in just the recent days past and mostly found the landfall of Hurricane Odile with those two lines that I have been discussing and the fact that they sort of split up when you travel north beyond Anchorage. Earthquakes such as the 5.5 and 5.1 at Pakistan late on Wednesday could mean this earthquake energy does exist and is traveling along that line. This would mean we could still see something major around our West Coast.

I also dug out some older alerts that could still be having an effect on Pakistan. Specifically one that says Pakistan, but here is a lesson you all might want to know that could be very important someday. The alert in front of me that I am looking at and talking about here is dated July 18, 2014 and under normal circumstances would generally expire and come to pass on September 9. A long time ago when I did my initial research along these lines, a lot of it in the 1990's, and I did actually find like one hurricane/earthquake that ran to Day 63 and that would be September 20, 2014 and therefore it tells us both that there was at least one historical one out this far, but also that there could be that much additional earthquake energy still lingering out there in the wake of the landfall of Typhoon Rammasun at China/Vietnam on July 18.

The landfall of Hurricane Irene at Hawaii is also in there with the words China, and Nepal showing up on the sheet in front of me, too! This just so happens to be the same alert we have been watching for Sumatra, and Indonesia and it will run through September 29, 2014 but was thought to be that San Francisco-Napa Earthquake of August 24, 2014 or Day 16. . . however there could still be more where that came from!

There was also a small earthquake at Incline Village, Nevada on Wednesday and of course it was a fairly safe guess that they may start shaking soon and the September New Moon Window runs well into Thursday, too!!! Keep Watching California along the lines that I have given and especially now around the epicenter of the Landers Earthquake and far East Los Angeles through Eureka with Parkfield and maybe Napa Aftershock around 7.6 Richters! New Moon Swarm At Mammoth Lakes As Usual, And Always Means More Earthquakes!!!

The September 2014 New Moon has so far brought along with it the latest huge swarm at Mammoth Lakes, California. That was so easy to predict that I can hardly believe some of you guys out there didn't see it coming if you know what I mean! And you can almost figure out ahead of time how this one is going to play out, too. That's right, the swarm will run all the way through the New Moon Window and then probably move up towards Incline Village, Nevada, or Lakeview, Geysers, or even Salton Sea, but possibly up into Eureka or the Triple Plate Junction and finally it might lead directly to the next Major California Earthquake which could be as big as a 7.6 Richters Earthquake. Came across two new names that just so happen to be along one of those lines where a lot of this upcoming Major Earthquake Energy will be tracking and those two new names are Landers and Hector Mines. It also occurred to me although I did not spot this name on the map, Big Bear City is situated right along that line, too, as well as that most historical epicenter of the Landers Earthquake very near there. So, add Landers and Hector Mines to the list! Hector Mines will forever be associated with the 1999 Earthquake that shook me out of bed in Hollywood in the wake of the Earthquake Energy resulting from the landfall of Hurricane Bret at the Rio Grande River over in South Texas and Northern Mexico. Either of those locations out there in that High Desert Region of Eastern California could become a part of this upcoming earthquake! Be Prepared California!!! EQ Guy

NOW The September 2014 New Moon Window Is A Factor In A Possible Major Earthquake At Calfifornia!!!!!

Attention, the September New Moon Window Starts on Tuesday September 24, 2014 at 6:14 UTC, or 1:14am Central Time, and 11:14pm September 23, 2014 Pacific Time. All of these times of course have already started due to my internet being out most of yesterday and just coming back on as of 9am Tuesday! Therefore the September New Moon Window has begun!!! As you already will know if you watched that vid, there had been NO earthquakes in Oklahoma at all between last Friday, and early Tuesday, however I now have to report that it looks like they are about back to their usual rate as of Mid-Day Tuesday. So, whatever happened between late on Friday and 14:28 on Monday Central Time. As of Tuesday Morning there have now been 5:

With all of that now going on in Oklahoma, I should say one more time that the Great Hebgen, Montana/Yellowstone Earthquake of 1959 immediately followed a similar landfall of Hurricane Debra at Galveston which tracked all the way up to that Montana-Idaho region days earlier so we should continue to watch Oklahoma just in the event a similar earthquake situation might occur.

As I just wrote in a comment section from a last week blog, the alert for Sumatra, and Indonesia might be considered to run until September 29, 2014 and is due to the landfall of Hurricane Iselle at Hawaii on or about August 8th. Although it seems probable this was the earthquake energy released at San Francisco-Napa, California on August 24, 2014 but we will need to continue watching out of precaution through September 29, 2014 just the same.

It looks like people might be listening and at least subtly aware there could be a Major Earthquake heading for California! The question that reader originally posted was wanting to know when I thought the California Earthquake might strike and this one right now we are watching for could just strike right now during the September New Moon Window that started early Tuesday and will run through Thursday this week. This could be as big as 7.6 Richters for California, so be prepared!!! EQ Guy

Anxiously Waiting For That 7.6 Richters California Earthquake!!! LOOKS Like NO Earthquakes At Oklahoma Since Late Friday!!!

UPDATE: Just noticed there have been NO Earthquakes at Oklahoma since late Friday! Gotta watch that place!!! Now Todays EQ Blog:

I noticed as I was doing some advance work on this here EQ Blog that it was one week ago that Hurricane Odile made landfall at Mexico, and also a week ago the ski tournament! You might recall I did not have any pics of any of the teams from around the world on actual skis, so as I was going through all my pics yesterday I found one of China:

And so there is that pic! Could have very easily threw a few of them into that vid and am not sure why i did not in the first place.

A quick check of the Lakeview Swarm at the last minute before writing todays EQ Blog and found there had been a 3.0 in the final hours of Sunday Night. Looking back at the entire past seven days I did find a lot of them on September 15 and then the usual few up to Sunday when a 3.0 is the best indication that something might be happening in California! While proofreading the above I noticed the date September 15, 2014 was not only the day of that landfall at Mexico, BUT the day with 18 Lakeview Earthquakes, too!!! Possibly how the Precision Plate Tectonics is already working! There was also a tiny 1.5 at Beverly Hills late Sunday, too!

So, in answer to a question that someone posted on one of my other blog entries from a day or so ago, I will get back there and write in the answer soon, but for now it looks like the alert for Sumatra, Indonesia, Iceland, and Sweden will probably run all the way to the end of September if that answers that question. I still want to watch Oklahoma for a few days yet, and Texas, for some sign the Hebgen Lake Theory might be realized and winds from that big Pacific storm might have an affect in those parts in the coming days.

Fontana!!! Also Vallejo, Santa Rosa, And Triple Plate Junction!!! 7.6 Richters Earthquake Is Coming!!!

Today I did another going over of the lines along which all of the new Major Earthquake Energy is now traveling along and found Vallejo, Santa Rosa, and at the top of California the Triple Plate Junction just offshore from Eureka there. This is the line along which the potential earthquake energy from line TME will be traveling as well as I noticed yesterday Fontana is the name of the town situated right there at that intersection with I-15, and the Ten Freeway in San Bernardino County, California. This is just about the exact place where my now famous "Arrowhead Water Prediction" took place at about the next exit south of that intersection off I-15 at Jarupa Avenue and then west a few blocks past the AM-PM Store that I stopped at every morning or whenever! Now, once again in the path of this next big earthquake although the original earthquake associated with that conveyor job back in the year 2000 was a much smaller 5 Magnitude and this one is just about now guaranteed to be a 7 Magnitude!!! Just hope it does not strike there where a lot of my friends still work today!

This also just in today is the fact that in going over the text of that new Official Prediction, I now want to amplify on the discussion about landfall at "Continental Landmass" due to having come up with the fact that landfall of Super Typhoon Nanmadol was at TAIWAN. . . and not actually at a "Continental Landmass" per se, while STILL preceding the Great Sumatra Earthquake. So, unlike the landfalls at Japan that I discussed in the body of that O.P., of which I could not come up with any one single MAJOR Resultant, the Sumatra Earthquake COULD be considered a Major Resultant and therefore I think might help to prove this could be a BIG Earthquake!!!

So, any major earthquake at Oklahoma or Texas is the result of all of the remnants of Hurricane Odile passing through that area and not so much the same original contact as the two straight lines we are watching over in California and probably could not be 7 Magnitude, so maybe another Oklahoma sized 5 Magnitude Earthquake could be in order there! JUST IN: 11 Oklahoma Earthquakes in 10 Hours Yesterday!!! SEE @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/09/11-oklahoma-earthquakes-in-10-hours.html PROBABLY Connected to the fact that Hurricane Odile is crossing that region right about now!!! TODAYS EQ BLOG:

As I write this I am reviewing the information that I have discussed in EQ Blogs from the last day or two concerning the lines of potential earthquake energy as the result of the landfall of Hurricane Odile and I just found La Habra situated close to line T-M-E!!! Also, I have now filed the Official Prediction that I was saying @ http://earthquakealert3.blogspot.com/2014/09/official-prediction-for-76-richters.html

Should probably explain "Line T-M-E" is the brand new line of Potential Earthquake Energy which starts at the Tip of the Baja California Peninsula or T. and intersects Mexicali or M. and continues on to Eureka, California or E. for T-M-E. AND the main reason I think we should hold todays discussion to "Line TME" is due to the fact that I just located that line to see exactly where it crosses California and was not expecting to find Los Angeles along that line!!! Close examination of the line reveals La Habra just a few miles to the west of where this line crosses to the northwest of Mexicali and actually more towards the town of Indio and onto Palmdale. Most unfortunately I spotted San Bernardino situated directly along this actual line that thinking about it is at least partly delineated by the San Andreas Fault itself! It would be since we are following this line up from where the Colorado River basically flows into the gulf and along a straight line roughly parallel to the peninsula there.

Further north of there I noticed Lone Pine and Tehachapi, both major places in the Major upcoming possible California Earthquake and both places where major California Earthquakes have shook in the past. Are either of these two places due for this one to strike there? Also should mention that Parkfield is situated right in that general area and while mathematically not likely to get a Major Earthquake at just the 10 Year Anniversary, still be watching around that region such as Coalinga, Hollister, Bakersfield, and Angels Camp for epicenters of 7 Magnitude.

It occurred to me that I have not actually seen any what you might call foreshocks anywhere near Los Angeles up to this point. Therefore it also occurred to me that we should maybe starting right now begin watching that East Los Angeles area closely for some fairly large "Foreshocks" or at best movements that indicate that I know what I am talking about!!! San Francisco, Napa, California Aftershock Of 7.6 Richters Coming!!!? Parkfield 2014 Earthquake? Be Watching For Major California Earthquake!!!

Damage report from the landfall of Hurricane Odile at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is now being considered to be extensive! A pic or two has emerged and the region resembles those large areas where the biggest of tornadoes have cleared everything in its path with practically nothing left as far as the eye can see into the distance! This will now lead up to an earthquake that usually will do a similar amount of destruction to some unfortunate region of California since that appears to be the direction ALL of this Major Earthquake Energy is now headed and yet another foreshock struck at San Filipe, Mexico this one at 4.4 with the others being at 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, and 4.9 all yesterday!!!

I'm very sorry to now have to report this big of a major earthquake now headed for California once again so soon after most of you know, I just hit it on that Napa Earthquake the night of the August New Moon! Don't forget the September New Moon will be next Wednesday, too, but mostly just the fact that this earthquake could be so much BIGGER!!! This one could also be about a 7.6 Richters aftershock virtually at the same epicenter as that recent Napa Earthquake, too! Be watching out for earthquakes and be prepared if you are located anywhere around that now extremely shaky San Francisco and Oakland, California Region!!! Or Parkfield, Bakersfield, Coalinga, too!!!

I had planned to expand on the areas where this now upcoming Major California Earthquake could strike in todays EQ Blog, but was interrupted by the fact that it looks like today is the 10 Year Anniversary of Hurricane Ivan. Just coincidentally one of the places that I had intended to focus todays EQ Blog on was Parkfield, California where I believe there is a chance of getting this upcoming 7.6 Richters Earthquake, BUT also where they got the earthquake in 2004 that followed the landfall of Hurricane Ivan! Tells me the 10 Year Anniversary of the 2004 Parkfield Earthquake must also be coming up! Reminds me of a scene from my 2014 EQ Radio Show that was cut. . . telling the fact that that Parkfield Earthquake was actually preceded by THREE Major Hurricane Landfalls, Francis, Ivan, and Jeanne!!! That was when one night I was looking at maps and discovered all three of these landfalls pointed directly to CALIFORNIA!!! I can honestly tell you from that night, that I tried to recall the name of the one town up in that region they pointed to where they had been waiting and anticipating just such an earthquake but unable to recall and not wishing to go dig up that tiny fact. . . put "EQ Alert: California" in the banner headline of an E-Mail "EQ Alert" that went out on a Sunday night with that 2004 Parkfield Earthquake striking on that Tuesday!!!


I also want to include the story about a Hurricane Debra that traveled from landfall at Galveston, Texas all the way up through Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado before heavily striking at Montana and Idaho most famous for lightning causing fires in that region in July of 1959. Reason we're talking about Hurricane Debra from 1959 right now is that the now Great Hebgen Lake, Montana Earthquake followed just a few days after this huge Hurricane also struck that area!!! Look at the last sentence of this Wikipedia Story about Hurricane Debra from 1959 and you will notice it struck Montana and Idaho!!! @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Debra_%281959%29#Elsewhere . . . Sooooo, this is basically what we might be looking at with Hurricane Odile, now!!! COULD bring all that potential Major Earthquake Energy across the same Continental Divide and potentially bring the BIG ONE!!! This time maybe it will be for Texas or Oklahoma!!! COULD Be as big as 7.6 Richters or the same size as Hebgen Lake Earthquake was in 1959, too!!! NEXT Major California Earthquake Now Coming!!! COULD Be 7.6 Richters!!!

I'm just guessing 7.6 Richters for this now brand new upcoming MAJOR California Earthquake, but it could become even a bigger number considering all the foreshocks they are currently getting at Mexico. Four so far starting in the very early hours of Monday Morning and I must also report a 5.4 at Martinique, 4.0 at Oklahoma, 4.7 Sweden, and at press time it looks like a 5.6 has just struck Japan with Tokyo showing up immediately in the felt reports! 27 miles North Northeast of Tokyo, so there should be lots more felt reports from there and it is also one of those locations on the list from landfall of Hurricane Iselle with Day 40 coming on Wednesday this week.

So, now in addition to all the current alerts, there is this now HUGE one probably headed for California!!! Here are those foreshocks that have occurred up to press time of todays EQ Blog:

You will be hearing plenty more about this next major shaker heading for California in coming days including a complete list of dates and locations where this Major Earthquake just might strike!!! For now it is heading in a straight line from the east on a line between Mexicali and Eureka, and on the west between Las Vegas and Snohomish, Washington and while it includes a lot of places in between, for now I am especially concerned for areas such as Reno, where they have already been getting a lot of shaking and San Francisco where they could be due for a Major Aftershock. This 7.6 Richters could be considered an aftershock by earthquake professionals, but since it now looks like all the new energy here, I'm not sure if that makes this upcoming potential earthquake an aftershock or not. Official Predictions are forthcoming for California and National, or this alert will need to be written out in "Official Prediction" Format, I should say.

Mexico could get more of those foreshocks and it is possible they could get a huge one with all the new earthquake energy already shaking there including the landfall yesterday of Hurricane Odile at the Southern Tip!!! And why landfall at southern tip initiates foreshocks all the way up there at the very northern inlet of the Gulf of California is not certain, either, I can only figure either San Andreas Fault type movement possibly towards the north, OR, scissors type movement with that big windstorm pushing the peninsula of BC east and hinge type movement at that foreshock epicenter point which could then mean Santa Barbara or Los Angeles foreshocks NEXT!!! Have to wait and see, but until then both S.B. and L.A. should be prepared and be watching!!! EQ Guy

2.5 Strikes Ventura With Felt Report!!! Also a 2.2 Malibu. . .

Now if you are one of those who routinely follow earthquakes on a day to day basis or you're a California person, then you may already know this here is about more of a usual or normal earthquake that they might get around some of these areas more on a day to day basis. Only reason it is todays headline is mostly due to the felt report containing all those places as you can see, such as Thousand Oaks, Northridge, and Los Angeles. And we just happen to be watching all of those areas.

Reason we are watching so close is that it is ONE of our ultimate goals in the process of Precision Plate Tectonics to some day come to know and know WELL. . . exactly what earthquakes we can or should consider to be "Foreshocks" and right at the moment it is looking somewhat like some of these could become foreshocks absent a Major Earthquake to follow. When one does follow then we will know, but then possibly still need to see identical circumstances occur again or be repeted and at that time experience will then tell us these are foreshocks and that a big earthquake will surely follow.

I had a chance to double check the globe and actual location of the landfall of Hurricane Iselle at Hawaii and can today tell you Valpraiso, Chile showed up in the recount, however Sumatra, Indonesia as well as the Andaman and Nicobar Islands remained directly out there in front of this line of fairly big earthquake energy that actually did cross directly through Japan around Hokaido Island and crosses China near Sichuan, again. Key dates on that alert are now Day 40-September 17, 2014, and Day 43, September 20, 2014 and as I stated this one might run all the way until September 29, but I'm guessing we will see a lot or probably all of this Major Shaking well before then as I said on my recent 2014 EQ Radio Show. Swarm Striking Reno And Sparks, Nevada!!! California Looking At a MegaDrought???

The Incline Village Swarm of recent Nevada Earthquakes appears to now be the Sun Valley, Nevada Swarm Striking at Reno and Sparks, Nevada! Note that I have removed many smaller earthquakes from the following list due to space now needed for the felt reports from first one at bottom of list at 2.7 at 3pm Central Time on Thursday. So far they run through midnight but I may need to update on Friday:

Can't remember myself when the last time I washed in ocean water with a bar of soap was, either. . . but sure know I've done it more than a few times especially at MANY of the Campgrounds situated out along both coasts and the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys possibly, too. Looks like they are planning to simply use all the water until it simply all runs out one day:) Lake Mead nearly drained dry as we speak. . . it shouldn't be long now!

3.5 Incline Village, Nevada With MANY More Shakers At Lakeview, California Region!!!

As long as they keep getting all of those earthquakes up in that region that coincidentally DID come to precede the Napa, California Earthquake, I will continue to keep watching that region for more such possible indications that there could be more earthquakes yet. . . at San Francisco!!!

6.5 Richters Indonesia Earthquake!!! At End Of September New Moon Window!!!

I won't bother going into the fact that most of you know I have discussed Indonesia many times over the last few days watching there. Including during my 2014 EQ Radio Show on Monday Night. . . and also including in this weeks Video Log, where I also show some Preview/Practice Session prior to the show!!! CLICK Arrow:


The 6.5 Richters Earthquake at Indonesia late on Tuesday struck at 9:46pm Central Time and the September Full Moon Window actually ended just one hour earlier at 8:39pm and as I now always say we will need to watch for at least that one additional hour due to these earthquakes not being able to go precisely by the clock in such a way that 24 hours may not always cover the total amount of Precision Plate Tectonic movement that we are observing (Theoretically).

As by now most of you also already know Oklahoma was sure to be getting a lot of earthquakes also during that Full Moon Window and I have a short list here of just those that struck in the last 24 hours here:

So, as the September Full Moon Window comes to an and it is now important to remember we will continue to watch for one or two remaining events!!! As a general rule a 6.5 that was even now downgraded to like a 6.2 right at press time, is not enough to put an end to our watch for a huge earthquake! 6.2 out there in the middle of all of those shaky Indonesia Islands I consider to be roughly the equivilent amount of Earthquake Energy to like about a 5 in California and so we will have to keep watching because the two we are watching for are both more the "Grand Finale" type with all due regards to that saying being a reference to the final act of a circus and sorry for such use of that term. . . we ARE watching for a MegaThruster, yet, and maybe even two!!! Yes, the September Full Moon Window will now continue to run all the way through Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and there is sure to be something huge yet! I am now noticing that although Oklahoma had a couple fairly big earthquakes in the early morning hours of Monday. . . they seemed to have stopped late in the day and have NOT been heard from the remainder of Monday? COULD this mean they are in for a huge earthquake? Only time will tell, but it often also has been known to mean it is about to shake somewhere else although I do not know the exact scientific explanation for why, it does work that way!

3.7 Piru/Filmore!!! September New Moon Window!!! ALSO: That Easter Island Swarm Stopped!? AND: Alaska Swarm Continues!!! MegaThruster Coming!!!?

As fast as I was trying to type in the fact that the September Full Moon Window has now started is when my phone just rang with a 3.7 Richters Shaker at Piru near Fillmore up there in Ventura County!!! For right now the big concern is the fact that the September Full Moon Window has started as of 8:38pm Central Time on Sunday night and there will now probably be some major earthquakes and I am watching extremely close due to my Radio Show being tonight and I will have to go on-the-air and explain if nothing has shook YET!!! Yes, I will have the job of telling the listening public that there is now a BIG risk of a Major Earthquake striking in just those coming hours and like I say in the notes I will be using tonight. . . if one hasn't already struck!!!

NOW Huge Swarm At Easter Island Indicates HUGE Upcoming MegaThruster!!! Indonesia, Peru, Chile, California??? ALSO: Full Moon Window!!!

The September Full Moon Window will begin at 8:39pm Central Time on Sunday Night and there is this HUGE Swarm like I've never seen before currently going on out at the Easter Island Region!!! Almost ALWAYS means MegaThruster for like Peru or Chile!!! Here are just Sept. 5 and 6:

There was also a 5.9 that just struck Mexico at 500 Miles West of Mexico City Offshore and so I checked and Hurricane Norbert continues to spin right there offshore and headed like north towards San Diego, but the latest forecast has it now turning and missing California, although they should probably still get a lot of those outer bands as well as some of the wind and rain from that system. Probably good news that the track that once had it crossing San Diego County around Camp Pendleton and Oceanside is no more.

Full Moon now high overhead is hard to not notice and I am starting to get very concerned about what is going to happen with this Full Moon Window that will start early in the day on Sunday!!! Although Officially at 8:39pm Central Time, so 6:39pm Pacific. . . we now have enough experience with these that we know we will need to start watching much sooner! So, start watching much sooner on Sunday and do not wait until 6:39pm Pacific to declare a higher chance of earthquake! Especially since this one could be that MegaThruster/Tsunami we have been watching for!!! Probably for Sumatra, Indonesia, Peru, or Chile, but always still the chance San Francisco, California, or West Coast could get this, too! Of course Oklahoma will be getting a lot of shaking as usual with the Full Moon, too!!!

Finally it will be Day 33 after the landfall of Typhoon Halong at Japan on September 9, and Day 33 after the landfall of Hurricane Iselle at Hawaii on September 10 and those are probably the two causing all the trouble at Easter Island, BUT probably also the two either of which could mean a fairly Major Earthquake still coming for somebody, somewhere and now VERY likely to strike with the September Full Moon Window!!! Of course noting my 2014 EQ Radio Show will also fall well within that window on Monday Night!!! 7pm Central/5pm Pacific!!!

Alaska Swarm Continues! Iceland Continues To Shake! And Here's My Last Years "EQ Radio Show"!!!!!

Alaska Swarm continues with latest being a 2.6 that struck at a slightly different location with West Southwest appearing in the Fairbanks column and indicating movement in the location of those epicenters. Just saying it is yet another possible indication something is happening up that way! Watch Fairbanks!!! Some of the other earthquakes you might be interested in are the 5.2 Iceland, and the fact that there were 3 earthquakes in Oklahoma in the last 24 hours. I suppose the fact that those Iceland Earthquakes continue remains a possibility that there could yet be a major shaker up at that volcano and that could be the MegaThruster we had been watching for since they are specifically mentioned on the sheet after the landfall of Typhoon Halong at Japan and that alert runs all the way through Day 43 on September 19, and Day 52 on September 28, 2014 and both of those days included could as well be the day of that "Life-As-We-Know-It" Ending Volcano!!!

5.9 Easter Island Indicates Earthquake Energy Is Out There!!! But Where? MORE For Frisco???

The latest info from National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) is a 2.9 that was shaking the Bay Area as I was writing, Prior to this 2.9 Earthquake there was the 5.9 I mention in the headline, but a 5.9 is a fairly big Easter Island Earthquake and so it makes it rather certain there is much more earthquake energy still on the way!!! This 2.9 had so many popular San Francisco area town names, I thought I should run it in todays EQ Blog due to and in the event a big one becomes the result of it.

UPDATE: There was a 3.0 at around 4am Pacific with epicenter American Canyon and 12 Felt Reports from that town along with about 30 felt reports from Vallejo, but not felt in the city beyond there, mostly Santa Rosa, Napa, and Petaluma Region.

3.7 Richters Strikes One Mile From San Jacinto, California!!! Alaska Swarm Continues 25-45 Miles From FAIRBANKS!!!

This one struck just moments ago as I'm writing this and I was actually on my way home from work when the phone chimed and could not believe my eyes when I saw 3.7 San Jacinto, since the biggest earthquake I have personally been in was a 2.1 San Jacinto back in 2003 and that was huge for just being so near to the epicenter when it shook the trees were shaking and rocks were falling from the cliffs into the middle of the road there!!! Felt Report on this one will take me some time to gather all together due to it getting bigger every time I go to look at it and so I will wait until later in the day to post all of it. Right now I can tell you there were 20 from Tijuana!!!

AND Still several earth-quakes have still been striking up there in Iceland including a couple have even rang my phone on Tuesday!!! (Over 5 Richters)

I have updated the list of earthquakes in that swarm that does seem to be continuing up there in Alaska and only just now discovered that this swarm is actually taking place in an area located between 25 and 45 Miles West and Northwest of Fairbanks!!! Not sure if this exact location will lead to a destructive earthquake striking that region and do not know all that much about the fault lines up in that region, but does seem like a long time since Fairbanks, Alaska has had it's Major Earthquake that it might be as likely to get as a lot of other shaky places if you know what I mean!!! Earthquake Preperation should probably already be underway in that city of 32,000 and Borough of 100,000 according to Wikipedia @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairbanks,_Alaska

Now Great Alaska Swarm Continues!!! Something MORE Could Still Shake, Yet!!! ALSO: New EQ V-Log!!!

As long as this now huge looking swarm continues to shake up around Alaska, there will continue to be quite a large amount of Major Earthquake Energy still out there and still probably going to strike somewhere at some point!!! Probably the biggest one we should continue to watch for is the earthquake resultant from the landfall of Hurricane Iselle at Hawaii on August 8, 2014 with wind gusts at 115 mph and plenty of damage reported including 1000 Coffee Trees and 2000 Macadamia Trees according to Wikipedia @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Iselle_%282014%29 . . . WHERE you can also see a short film clip of the storm. My "Hurricane-Typhoon-Cyclone Sheet" also still has the name Typhoon Halong/Japan with gusts of 127mph although those countries in line for this one are listed as Russia, Sweden, and Ireland, but Iceland Volcano could be the result of all that so we will continue to watch those other countries a while just the same.

It appears that Iselle has only Malaysia, Banda Aceh, and Sumatra listed on the same sheet with September 8 being Day 31 and also the upcoming Full Moon! Just occurring to me as I compose todays EQ Blog. . . are we looking at the next Sumatra Earthquake the night of the upcoming September 2014 Full Moon? Having to search over and over to try and locate the actual magnitude of this huge national emergency looking Major Earthquake will take me some time and probably into an already very busy Monday Labor Day Holiday! By the looks of it this must have been about a 7.5 Richters earthquake! That is judging by the names of the towns on the felt report when compared to the two maps that I lined up next to one another in order to view both the epicenter of this earthquake and the Capital city that was said to have been destroyed. That town name is Nahrin and one report has it listed as the district capital for the area, although when lined up next to the map with the epicenter prominently displayed it looks like that small town must have been about 75 miles from the epicenter and therefore this earthquake would have had to have been more than 6 Richters as stated in this story here: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/31/magnitude-6-earthquake-jolts-pakistan/
AND as usual my very first notice received from the USGS says something like a 5 or 6 Richters, although that does not appeaar possible due to the following felt reports:

Having now checked the above list against the maps, I have discovered that Kabul is actually over 100 miles from the epicenter!!! That makes this about a 7 Richters earthquake, although a large number of USGS type folks present in Kabul would easily throw this number off considerable due to Americans automatically filing felt reports for earthquakes and therefore it can not be determined the extent of shaking present at that location since only 2 felt reports were filed it could have been very minimal. I will have to update this if any more information comes in or in later blogs.

The Iceland Volcano now has some nice pics of lava flowing and the aviation alert was raised and lowered again and as of this writing it is presently lowered, but this blog does not keep up with the moment by moment alert level so you have to check elsewhere for the very latest aviation alerts to keep up to date on that.

Finally there is a huge swarm taking place currently at Alaska and north of Juneau! This will be going on into this week so I will have much more on it as September kicks in today! Probably means a lot more Major Earthquake stuff about to happen and I have to add that both the September Full Moon AND my 2014 EQ Radio Show are coming up next Monday, September 8, 2014 when the Full Moon will be high overhead as The EQ Guy hits the airwaves once again!!! This time it will be the exact moment of that Full Moon just 38 minuttes after the end of my show! Can hardly wait to see who shakes!!!
