Today I want to present to all my regular readers and whomever else might be stopping by to check out my EQ Blog, what I believe could have been the cause of the August 24, 2014 Napa Earthquake that shook San Francisco. You might remember this was my Quake Chase 2014: Oakland on the night of the Full Moon-Super Moon when the Napa Earthquake struck 10 days later the night of the August New Moon instead.
There was also no Major Earthquake Energy heading directly for Napa, rather just so many foreshocks that it looked inevitable as the full and new moons approached and then eventually struck there, too. So, unless any major earthquakes strike before, or during our Thanksgiving Holiday, this will be the story of how I believe the Napa Earthquake got started!!! NAPA EARTHQUAKE WAS CAUSED BY FRACKING
Scientists have said in the past that this earthquake was connected to that earthquake or that the basic movement of the ground at one location was a factor in similar ground movements at other locations, sometimes many miles apart.
Recently, several Earthquake Swarms have been taking place around Northern California and Northwest Nevada and while especially shaking during the November New Moon of November 22, 2014, they continued to shake with earthquakes often reaching into the 4 Magnitude Range. Earlier in 2014 there was a 6.1 Richters Earthquake that struck at Napa, California that was preceded by a similar swarm of earthquakes also in the same regions of California and Nevada.
If all of those other earthquakes were connected then it seems possible the earthquakes from a similar swarm in Oklahoma were the cause of those swarms, that judging by the scientists who had said they were all connected in the first place. However it has also just recently been proven that earthquakes such as the ones happening in Oklahoma and Ohio were being caused by Hydraulic Fracturing or Fracking in those regions.
That said, it then seems at best highly probable that not only are all the earthquakes currently taking place in Northern California and Northwest Nevada probably being caused by the shaking in Oklahoma and fracking, but the 6.1 Richters Earthquake that shook Napa, California on August 24, 2014 also during a New Moon, was probably also the product of that same basic earthquake energy originally initiated at the Oklahoma Region and in fact due to fracking, too.
Another way to say it is that fracking in Oklahoma probably was the cause of the August 24, 2014 Napa, California Earthquake that shook most of the San Francisco Region at 6.1 Richters. That is if indeed all earthquakes such as these are in fact connected, then all of the fracking currently going on in Oklahoma, Ohio, and etc. is not only leading to at least this one Major Earthquake, but could possibly down the road eventually bring about the next Major California Earthquake. Earthquakes are the release of built up energy in giant rock formations, at fault lines, and at boundaries between tectonic plates, so then isn’t it possible that all of these fracking earthquakes that are now presently transferring their earthquake energy across the continent from Oklahoma and etc. could at any moment release the next big one?
All of this could not have been possible before such hydraulic fracturing procedures were started in so many different places around the country, but time will tell if and when the resulting Major Earthquakes end up not actually even being in Oklahoma, but rather out along our West Coast, California, or even at Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
So, before the days of fracking we might have just worried about a big earthquake. Now we have to worry about fracking out in the middle of our country sending all of that earthquake energy directly towards California and eventually causing the next big California Earthquake to do all of the damage that fracking earthquakes are causing, only from this point on it seems very possible that the big one will be in California!
